You know what would be a great game? A game that kept Pokemon's core gameplay intact, except that the breeding system was replaced with the one from DQMonsters. That would rock.

I've not played that game but I'll blindly assume the only difference is that the old man knows how the eggs got there.

okay, so can I start breeding before I beat the game? Also, where do I get the pokerus and macho bracer? I might want to start putting a team together before I beat it, or at least a few heavy hitters for the end bosses.
pokerus is obtained at random, but is very rare. It spreads between pokemon however, so you can get just about anyone to trade you a typhoid mary. the brace is obtained by showing all three forms of burmy to some bug kid in pastoria.
Also, once you get the Pokerus infected monsters, stick it in the centre of your team until it infects those you want, then infect a few extra, then dump the extra carriers in the Box so you can pull 'em out and infect others if you need it.
I get my Macho Braces from the GBA games where it's much easier to obtain (and I can clone it). and Pokerus is as rare as a Shiny pokemon, possibly even more uncommon, so you need to trade for that.
Another reason to hold off on EV training is because it's absolutely unnecessary for the single player game. As long as your team is at a high enough level you'll be able to beat the E4 without to much trouble. Even though it's tougher in this game.

yeah, I've breezed through the game so far, and I've gotten like three badges,
but I haven't run into a trainer yet that's been a problem.
Anyone want to battle later for kicks? I got a team I'm actually satisfied with. This match would take place like 4-5 hours from now tonight. Who's game?
Good fight tetoru. Cool team. I was afraid it was a potential Ground Gym for a few minutes.
If you don't mind some advice, it's a very physical team. On offense and defense. Thats not really bad, but it might help to diversify a little.
A rematch with the same pokemon? Ok, though I'd usually like to change it up a little.
But I wouldn't want to change it unless you do also. Unfair advantage and whatnot.
Two Wins for me. hooray!
You probably should have avoided that Energy Ball once you had seen me use it with Protect. and Muddy Water should go.
I'm dissapointed that I wasn't able to force you to Baton Pass the Confusion. That's why I was using it so often.
Just a few more BP and I can get to work on evolving this most recent Pokemon. Then I'll go back to searching for a bold ditto/synchronizer so that i can find that ditto..
Are Ditto's hard to find in D/P? I dunno, I catched a bunch in Leaf Green, but didn't really bother with D/P. Synchronize be damned. By the way, I have 2 Bold Ditto's, give a shout if you want their 'services'.

how many people can battle online?
edit: also, what's up with the explorer kit I got?
I'd be happy to take a bold ditto if you've one to spare, Chen. For some reason I seem to lack luck with catching specific natured dittos. I've found many a relaxed ditto, and several neutral natured dittos, but bold dittos just don't seem to like hanging about my game.
Anything in particular you'd like for a bold ditto, in trade or just even to borrow for a round of 'I have no idea where these eggs are coming from' with the day care couple?

You get evolution stones, Items that increase rock attacks, increase the length of sandstorm and hail, and fossils to turn into pokemon from digging underground. Or you can make a secret base.
Also, Woot I got Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos. Now to get my ass Mewtwo...
Either one should do quite nicely, though that second one is a very nice ditto indeed. If you're able to trade at the moment, I can head on wifi with some random trade pokemon. I likely will be able to trade it back soon after.

Or I could battle, I suppose.

Bold #132 Ditto: 31 / 15 / 9 / 2 - 3 / 12 / 4 - 6

I used the bottom one to breed Bronzors, since I was lacking any good Relaxed or Impish ones. I must say the end result came out very nicely.
i would say it's unlikely
but i might
i'm considering a normal gym
Edit-Thanks, Chen! Now for a (hopefully) quick daycare run.
