Looking for Data on Steam Users

I've been trying to find out how many people have purchased and play Counter strike and Counter strike source, but am unable to find the data. I couldn't find an annual report on valve's website...does anyone know where I might find these statistics?

    I don't know where to find sales reports but clicking on the "View detailed statistics by game" link on the Steam & Game Stats page shows people playing.
