Can anyone spoil the paragon specific quest for me? I ask because I missed it on my first paragon run through and after going through the game as a renegade I don't think I'm ever going back to the side of unflinching morality.

I would have thought Wrex would have had some shoulder mounted rail gun or Tali had like a geth recon drone minion.

all the characters have exactly the same 4 weapons means on anything less than hardcore you just have to equip their best weapon and never bother using any skills or anything.

would love some variety there. i mean, just looking at wrex you imagine some vigoro sized cannon with which he can dispatch enemies with one shot.

When each of your romances asks about the other potential romance, never choose the 'X is special' option because that lets them know you are interested in the other. It will immediately end the romance with that person, even if you've already blown it with the other. You could end up with no lovin'!

False! I chose this option my first time through.
I still got the confrontation/catfight scene after one of the missions. I went with Liara as she was bristling with nipples. Shame, really I've fucked it up w/ Ashley every time since and now I'm playing as a girl.

The moral of this story is that
Liara is a little blue hussy

    Always be nice to them...

This was one of the things I enjoyed the most about my Renegade run... my Shep was a hot redhead with green-eyes, and I did my level best to choose the renengade responses as much as possible (although seriously I call shenanigans. There should NEVER be a time where choosing the intimidate option results in harsh words, and the lower right option is to cold-cock someone. Thats not cool. I completely missed the chance to deck that reporter because of intimidate).

Anyway, I took particular pleasure from the fact that my Sheppard was a miserable bitch to everyone she met, but when she was alone with Liara... all of a sudden its all "Yeah.. I feel it too!<3"

Anyway, I probably would not have bothered, but I wanted to get the Paramour achievement out of the way so I wouldnt have to worry about it. Besides I have no interest in seeing Kaidan's naked ass.

Yeah, I love it when a dialog option which reads "I disagree," or something, turns into Shepard saying, "Fuck you, and fuck your damn dog, too!" ;-)

Even more annoying is when (don't read if you haven't beat'd the game)
The politician dude takes the normandy away from you and you don't kill him. Like seriously the second I realized he was grounding me I chose the renegade answer and yelled at the game for not pullin out the pistol and shooting him. I mean the text said something like "nobody double crosses me!" Which in my mind means I'm about to cap a bitch in the head.

    Just kidding.
    Seriously though, where is it?

    Workin' on it right now.
How will the downloadable content work? Will there be free stuff or will it require MS points, or something in between? Also, how limited are you with what you can put in? For example, would it be possible to insert new "quest planets" such as Noveria and Virimire or will you have to settle for something more modest, such as new UCW's with a few settlements spread out over the planet area?

Shit. I think I missed out on a lot.

Wait what? You mean like when you're 'ashore' and you just get a little quip from them when you talk to them?

It means they have something relevant to the environment to say. Haul them past the Statues on the Presidium, or down to Chlora's Den. (Ashley's especially funny in the later.)
Do you have to actively Talk to them (Press A), or will they start yapping on their own?

    Press A.

    Motherfucker

I did not know that. Thanks for telling me before I start my second play through.

EDIT: PAragon specific quest? Huh? I never saw a Renegade specific quest. Fuck me, I missed a lot of shit apparently.

So I'm about 3 hours in on my Renegade Sentinel playthrough.

I added Shotguns as my prestige, and let me tell you, I get the job done.

Right now I'm gonna go through with Garrus and Wrex and try and make every single enemy suffer for as long as possible. I can't wait until I've improved Lift, Neural Shock and Carnage and have some awesome fun.

Quick question though, I went with a Ruthless Colonist background. Where can I find the Colonist quest?

When you use a certain item or power (such as a shotgun or Warp) 150 for a gun and 75 for a power, you unlock the ability to use that item/power on a new character.

I've been reading these threads pretty often, and I can't beleive no one has talked about:
When Sovereign was basically comatose after his avatar got destroyed by Shepard, all I could think of was, "DISENGAGE ATTACKS ON SOVEREIGN" so that we could harvest the ship's sweet sweet technology to use against the reapers in ME2. Was NO one thinking that there should have been another side quest to gather and reverse engineer Sovereign bits?

    You can.

What you do is select start new game and instead of choosing create new custom you select an existing career. You start the game with the same stats and items as you ended the game with.

Any explanation that involves them harvesting "fuel" from organics would be, to say the least, disappointing. It was part of what was so retarded about The Matrix. Organic life is just a way (a very inefficient way) to convert sunlight and other EM radiation into chemical energy - the sensible place to get energy is from the stars themselves.

I think the Bioware guys will come up with something cooler than that, though.

On a side note, I wonder why people are having issues with the Ally achievements. I got the Krogan and whatever the race Tali is, quite easily. Heck, I got them before Virmire and I still have more side missions to go through. Same with the Completionist achievement.

I was disappointed that you can't choose to steal and spread the cure to the genophage. It just struck me as another solid "being the nice guy vs obvious negative consequences" choice that the game does fairly well. I imagine they might just be saving that issue for another ME game though.

But if that were the case then they'd be better off just scouring the galaxy of all life, even plankton. As someone pointed out upthread, humans and the other races were around 50,000 years ago, just not starfaring. The Reapers would save a lot of work if they just killed anything that might someday evolve into a competitor.

I think that Reapers were created by a species and designed to carry out what they do, so that when they are finally defeated the species that defeats them is 'worthy' of inheriting the galaxy. you probably end up working with all the species of the galaxy, uniting them under one force to work against the reapers. defeat the reapers, find out they are pleased because organic life has finally matured. blah blah
