Ahoy, my dad recently bought a widescreen monitor for unknown reasons and now WoW has a FPS of 7. PC is about 2 years old and used to run WoW on max details without any problems until he went for widescreen.

What can he do to get his FPS to a normal level again?

Send me his monitor, I'll uhhh fix it for him...

...It was pretty cheap, really. LG has some good deals.

From the looks of it there isn't really anything he can do about it, other than lowering his video settings. Oh well, that'll teach him being such a moron.

How up to date are all of his drivers?

I know there was at least one of them on my server, if not more, but I'm not sure if those players are even playing anymore. Couldn't even have told you their names, but I know they were out there.

I suspect that the Phoenix mount will end up being one of the rarest of them all, given that it's a rare drop from a boss that few are seeing, and even when the number of kills goes up, I suspect a lot of guilds will just follow the "fuck this" approach and devote time purely to Hyjal/BT endeavors.

I'm pretty sure there's like 6 Phoenix mounts on Proudmoore.

All Alliance people. There's about 4 Midnight mounts, 2 on Horde, I know for sure. A lot of ZG mounts around. No ZA Bear mount on Proudmoore that I've seen yet.

I log onto my Hunter in Ashenvale.

I head to Felfire Hill to do a quest.

I fall through the world by this tree.

I don't die. The camera stops at a certain point, but I see my character still falling.

Eventually, I realize my character is able to move, as I discover Demon Ridge on accident, even though I can't see anything and my character is miles below my own vision. Then I can finally hearth as Im no longer moving.

I got on the boat to Booty Bay today on my alt. When I step off the boat, some warlock deathcoils me so hard that I fall through the world for a few seconds then get knocked off the server. Every time I log on it disconnects me straight away. So I log on to my main, and my alt is still there, in Booty Bay, probably still running in horror somewhere beneath the world.

About 20 minutes later she went offline and I could get back on. Except for some reason I'm floating in the water (not on the path of the boat) in the bay in front of Ratchet (not the wharf in Booty Bay where I was deathcoiled in the first place).

I liked it back when you could take queues for games while on combat. I denied many people their rightful KB's / honour that way. I'd also laugh anytime I annoyed someone enough that they did it to me.

This reminds me of a hilarious video of an Alliance Gnome Mage, who runs into the Crossroads and gets about 10 Horde to follow him, all of them trying desperately to kill him as they chase him around the Barrens.

Eventually he runs them up a hill, then jumps off and feather-falls or whatever you call it, all 10 Horde follow him and plunge to their deaths. God that was funny.

Edit: If someone can find the video, i'll love you forever.

This is my favorite pastime in BGs, it is so fucking glorious when you can get 3+ retards to chase you (one person) around wasting their time, while the rest of your team is doing something worthwhile. I am very, very good at it. I feel it is an art form.

My second favorite is sheeping people off their mounts in AV and roasting their ass while they run across the map thinking they can still get away, they never do. This also works on my Paladin with Judgement of Justice, except they stay ON their mount and it's even better.
