    Wait, I've done that recently.

It's almost as fun as having someone chase you across the entire map (OMG MAGE WITH LOW HP KILLLLL IT) until you finally run into some teammates that slaughter your pursuer. Good thing you wasted your time chasing down one HK, CHUMP!

This is especially easy to do when specced Frost. :P

It is great on my Gnome, get 4 or 5 guys chasing me just because I am a Gnome, which opens up others for scoring.

This reminds me of a hilarious video of an Alliance Gnome Mage, who runs into the Crossroads and gets about 10 Horde to follow him, all of them trying desperately to kill him as they chase him around the Barrens.

Eventually he runs them up a hill, then jumps off and feather-falls or whatever you call it, all 10 Horde follow him and plunge to their deaths. God that was funny.

Edit: If someone can find the video, i'll love you forever.

    Would this be it?

I believe its staged but it is very funny.

By the way, we never got hard confirmation on what "Theran's new toy" is.

    Panic mode!

OK. I log on my level 1 bank alt. Immediately some other random guy invites me. I do a /who and he's level 1, which means he's gonna spam me. I accept with the intention to report and then ignore.

He instantly gives me some shit and a link and then leaves party.

Then my character starts inviting random persons to a group. Full panic mode follows. I log off and change my password on wow-europe.com just to be on the safe side.

I very much doubt I've been keylogged. I also doubt he magically infected me by grouping. Right now I suspect an infected addon via the wowaceupdater - I see no new suspicious addon.

    So, anyone seen this before?

Most probably he invite a lot of people at the same time and then as soon as the first one accepted he left the group so you became the *leader* but the invite's are still handed out wich means you'll get a lot of people in your group

Aaaah. That sounds very likely. Guess panic mode is over then.

As a mage running inconsistent karazhans (PUGs and sometimes being picked up to fill a spot for a guild's raid), should I go for the Staff of Infinite Mysteries from Curator or hold out for Malachazeen's dagger?

The staff is way better than what I have, but has no crit and is in my opinion, more fitted for shadow priests & warlocks. And the dagger fits a mage better in my opinion. Im in a raid tonight going from Curator to Prince and Im trying real hard to decide if I should risk waiting for the dagger.

I only get spammers on my alts.

None of my level 70s get them.

I guess its because gold farmers recognise that, once at level 70, there isn't much you can spend gold on, if you have your epic mount. BoE epics and blues aren't as good as stuff you get from raiding, so, eh.

If its in a PUG, you're under no obligation to pass loot to anyone else so just take the Staff, if you don't want it, leave it in your bank.

What are you running now? The only sword+offhand combo thats better than the staff, pre-raiding and excluding PvP gear, is the Greatsword of Horrid Dreams from Murmur combined with the heroic badge reward offhand, Khadgar's Knapsack, Flametongue Seal, Sapphiron Wingbone or....whichever the Arcane one is.

Any other combo, the Staff is an upgrade, with the exception of the Greatsword + Manual of the Nethermancer, where its either a very tiny upgrade or a sidegrade.

Spell damage is far more important than spell crit, also.

    The only time I went to Kara on my warlock was a semi pug {i.e. 6 of the ten were not of the person running it's guild}
We got as far as the Opera event where it was the Wolf. Nothing I could have used dropped so it was not an issue for me.
But the arguement over the emerald ripper was one to remember, A hunter , dps shaman and dagger spec'd rogue all argued over who should get it.

1.8 Speed, perfect for MH for any rogue, OH for mutilate. Any shaman attempting to use a weapon this fast doesn't know how to itemize for his class.
    Agility: Rogue and Hunter stat
Attack Power: Rogue Hunter and Shaman Stat.

I think the choice is clear.

Well, I seem to be regularly running along with this guild that I hope to join. Im their only non-guildy in the run. I'd feel bad if I took the staff and then later wanted the dagger.

Sadly for me, neither dropped this evening. I woulda had the staff, mage gloves, and mage hat all defaulted to me. But none of it dropped D:

What's with all the beef against Rogues? I get turned down when people want dps/cc (Sap isn't crowd control, apparently, and yes I made sure it was an instance where Sap was effective), and the rest of the time people are just "oh whoa whoa, ranged DPS > melee DPS sorry!"
