Well, it's mostly trash pulls, I feel they're moving too slowly cos I have to drink so much, bosses aren't as bad. (We're just talking Ramparts here, so everything dies really fast.) I guess I could like JoR the first DPS target and then SoW after and let HS/consecrate built aggro on the off targets? I was trying to tab-JoR the rest of the mobs in turn...

You're worrying too much about it. Use SoW/JoW on one target and let consecrate and HS do it's work. Those spells are your AoE tanking work horses.
Also note that power gains generate threat. JoW/SoW generates a tiny amount of AoE threat.
After many years Holy and incredible stubborness, I'm going to swap the paladin that I currently play to Ret. I have a ton of Honor/Arena Points/Badges that I have been saving for S4. It's probably enough between the three to fully kit a new spec.
Question: Is the S3/Vindicator/new Badge loot good enough to equip a Ret pally for BT/MH raiding? If not, what should I be looking for? What pieces of Badge loot would you suggest from the new vendor (or is Haste badge loot worth losing the Int from the Scaled pvp pieces)? I read that Haste is really good for SoBlood dps but . . .
Anyway, just trying to get suggestions before I take the plunge. I looked yesterday at the gear and just couldn't decide. EJ forums didn't really give a clear answer. And since everything WoW related is blocked from work so I can't delve further, asking here for the general ideas seemed best. The only thing I have currently is my Engineering helmet. Everything else will need to be purchased/farmed in the next few weeks.

Old man, family, works too hard, locked into a routine, but still plays with army men and video games.
If you want to play League of Legends, here is my refer a friend: So I get points
I feel like I need more mp5 -- sitting on 149 with Wisdom, and I think 175 after Wis is a solid goal for 10-man content. Am I biasing too heavy for it? I just really like longevity.
Our tankadin had to respec holy for Kalecgos last night since our healers like to not show up lately and we had a DPS warrior still prot from Illidan on Friday when our two ferals didn't turn up. He's good at whatever he does but it was so weird. Especially as we had been considering that "paladin in arcane resist set tanks all" strategy instead of doing the tank swaps. Oh well maybe next Sunday.
And that's the reason I don't bring my paladin to Gruul's farm night. HK Maulgar? Full of awesome. Gruul's? Boring as hell. I can't even respecc to a healing spec. I HAVE to heal as prot. Which is as exciting as healing as holy without the OHH CRIT MANA.
Yar, I've only done it in Gruul's, but I think keeping mana on the DPS is worth the retarded FoL I'd be throwing out. However if I ever Holy Light due to other healers fuck upperies, I tend to be OOM even with potting.
That reminds me of the one time in TK we had like 6 tanks for no good reason by the time we got to VR. So they ask me to off heal, and I'm like fine. When he did the first Orb I won't lie, I purposedly ran into it so I could afk faster.
holy's broken and nobody should ever spec it until it's been given a reworking
hilariously enough I'm holy because the group I do ZA and KZ with don't know any healers looooool fuck
I agree on the reworking of Holy Paladins.
They should make Holy a melee/healer hybrid. And when I say melee I don't mean like DPS the fuck out of shit. But like they heal by being in melee combat. Obviously their DPS will still be shit cause they are still primary healer if spec'd.
Yeah, I imagine that paladins would be mostly melee healers. They could do something with Holy Shock where it does the damage and a splash heal that heals target of target. Or some talent which improves JoL by requiring the paladin to be in melee combat.
I think Holy Paladins will be a lot more enjoyable to play this way.
Consecrate heals players in it for 10% of +healing every 2 seconds. Mmmm.
This is very similar to an idea a guildie and I kicked around several months ago. Have Consecrate "flavored" by a talent in each tree. Holy would be a HoT on the raid members standing on it, as you suggested. Ret could be some sort of buff to melee within the consecrate. Prot, no clue. It's already pretty godly for tanking.

the HoT for raid members standing in it would just mean that all the ranged DPS would stack on the holy paladins
they wouldnt necessarily be put into melee
I want to see a thunderclap sort of effect from Consecrate
So I've been thinking of making my first proper (as in actually try to get to Lv70) Alliance character on my home server of Stormrage and I decided on a Draenei Paladin. While I've been playing WoW for a long time, I'm open to any starting tips and advice on how to make the run through Alliance territory as stress-free as possible to keep me from abandoning the character like I've done with others (got a bad case of alt-itis).
So I've been looking for "of the Tiger" stuff on the AH over the past couple days, apparantly it doesn't exist.
But I saw "of the Beast" for higher levels, does anyone know at what gear level that starts? If it's at 58, I think I'll stock up on a set of that so I wont have to drink/eat after every fight when I start outlands.

The "of the Beast" stuff doesn't start dropping until outland, so you could probably find some pieces at 58-60.

going through my gear and the "find an upgrade" on the armory, i have a very small list of upgrades in mind, which is sad and happy at the same time
my chest: best in slot unless i want the t5 or t6 set bonuses
cape: best in slot until Hyjal
bracers: best in slot until BT
trinkets: best in slot, possibly with the exception of BT
helm: tier gear is the only upgrade to it, unless i take up engineering
belt: best in slot until BT unless i get the crafted belt
legs: once I get the 2.4 badge legs they'll be best in slot, full stop
boots: second-best in slot until BT or crafted gear (upgrading them to the Sabatons
weapon: Amani Punisher or Kael's mace needs to drop, then best in slot until Hyjal
shield: probably the one with the most upgrades incoming, Nightbane's Shield, Gruul's, SSO Exalted, Kaz'rogal, all of them have upgrades to it
Libram of Uncrushability: not replaceable for a long time
Rings: Not replaceable, really, I'm already using 2x stamina rings. maybe the ring from 2.4 rewards

What I'm wondering is, if your sig is accurate, how you have so many best-in-slots and yet 1.6k less health than my unbuffed tankadin.
Ah, just looked it up. Neck, shoulders still blue.

Stormcaller could really use some replacing with the gladiator's gavel, too. More damage, more sta, more int.
That is, unless I missed somewhere else in the thread where you said you're morally opposed to PvP. I'm too lazy to look.

i just dislike the look of it, and i generally dislike pvp
Stormcaller looks badass, its a badge of pride on having Thrallmar exalted, and I'm in a guild that has top-notch DPS and heals, I clear H MgT daily, and 3/6 ZA every reset, so I got plenty of shots at the kael mace and the Amani Punisher.

Though I'll admit when I got those bracers of green fortress crafted over a year ago I didn't think i'd be staring at em for this long o_O, though to be fair thats more my fault cause I haven't really raided anything past kara with any consistency.
I did work out today that if I replace all my +12stams with +15stam I'll be at 16k unbuffed (WTB 100 badges)
I just got the badge boots and it doesn't seem like there are many if any badge upgrades for my tanking set
back to saving for the healy mace I guess
PLEASE GOD TELL ME YOU MEAN THE 2.3 BADGE BOOTS AND NOT THE 2.4 BADGE BOOTS I DONT WANT TO GO TO JAIL FOR MURDER
they're the 2.3 boots
maybe I'll save for that 2h axe instead
thank god
the 2.4 badge boots are so fucking terrible its not even funny
i think the 2.3 boots are the last badge upgrade I need from the 2.3 stuff.
got the chest, the helm, and the belt...the bracers I don't want, there's no gloves or shoulders...the legs, I have the 2.4 ones which are much better. Maybe the 2.4 tank ring I will want...I think I can afford to drop the defense. Don't know what else I might want though. Maybe the badge shield.
Yah, the ZA-style badge legs give me more avoidance and stam because of gemming. The only thing the 2.4 ones have is spell dmg, which I don't need on my pants.

I get mocked when I offer.
Same here. About the time I bought my 3rd Sporeggar rep shield, I apparently lost all healing cred.

Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
Well, you pair it with other effects like a seal with a chance to proc something, like a max health boost. There are plenty of ways to swing it.

Bracers : off VoidReaver
Helm of CawCaw off Hexlord
Sherman ring off Shade though that's a tiny bit better and not a huge deal

So, I'm savin up for that ring, then usin' the rest of my badges to make money with primal nethers.
And I got Nightbane's shield tonight, after months of attempts. Now all that's left in Kara is Netherspite to give me those shoulders.
have you actually looked at the legs or what
