Just had a terrible game of 2fort. For the last point I bring the intel to our base. Inside our base we have an enemy sentry and as a scout I get destroyed. No one did anything! Not even ask where the intel was. We lost that round, and that was the last point we needed too. Next round I go through our sewer. Run into the same problem. Eventually intel gets returned to enemy base and I lose hope. For the record Flippy was there on the other team probably laughing. Even worse all chat was on and we could hear they had a teleporter etc in our base.D:

Join the club, I remember a 'not too long ago' PA 2fort game where the enemy intel sat inside our intel room with noone touching it long enough for an enemy scout to cap ours.
I will say now that if after this ID is banned, and Flippy or Edcrab, etc, post on here about not being able to log onto a PA server.. I will deficate hardened clay conglomerate in block form.
Hey, why did you mention me? Oh, sure, pick on the Brit. I must have an alt that exists just to grief.
Dammit they're on to us Flippy PLAN B PLAN B
We had a bloody epic turnaround on granary just now. Who says the first team to cap the middle point is guaranteed a win?

Pff, the only reason you guys won that was because I was bringing my entire team down. My suck is so bad that it's contagious.
Also: I hate soldiers when I'm a pyro. If I manage to actually get up close and bring their health down to a point where they would burn to death even if they killed me they always kill themselves with a rocket. I hate that so much.
And if anyone wants to know who to blame for losing, the in-game name is <3The Squirrel<3.

I dunno man, you were tearing through us something furious on that last Dustbowl cap a little while ago.
Good game, Blue kept pushing like they were being lashed on by Lucifer himself and managed to get that cap right at the end.
I think I found the key to killing Flippy_D on 2Fort ...
get TAG as a Scout to run across the bridge roof and constantly shattershot people while you sit on the other end sniping to back him up.
-- Mumbly ... I completely understand your frustration about having to play Medic. I tend to do more good for the team when I play Medic but I've been trying to branch out and try more classes. Hopefully I can become a more well rounded player soon.
I appreciate the thought, but I am not MumblyFish. People do not fear me being on the opposite team. I can keep everyone alive single handedly and nobody praises my name.
I think I now know why.
MORNINGLORD DAMMIT.

(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.

So after having played all the classes I decided-to my own surprise- that Medic is my class of choice.
I rarely play a healing class in anything.
Though have so much fun ducking behind a heavy while dodging pyros and snipers whilst gearing up, holding on for that last second until I hit the Uber.
I need to work on my photo-taking skills but heres a screencap, not my best round today either;
You know, while we're on the issue of 2Fort, I think I'll add in my own $0.02
I really liked the idea that JonXP had to change the caplimit on 2Fort to just 1, in the hopes of speeding up the game and making it more fun for everyone, but at least for me, I don't find that to be the case. While yes, there aren't big huge engineering bases in the intel room for the most part anymore, it just seems to me like the game bogs down even more then it did before, and I think that I have a lot less fun playing it, because the round just drags on and on and on and nobody can get even a single cap.
Maybe we're all just playing a lot better because we know everything gets reset after one cap, or maybe people just don't push as hard (I personaly think that it is the latter), but where as before I didn't mind playing the map as much, I really don't like it anymore.
What does everyone else think about the changes that JonXP made?
My average headshot count per map is roughly 12-13.
After noticing this I started examining my scoring, and it turns out I get almost exactly 50% headshots. Every time. On every map. I would be sad at this because it used to be a higher %, but I realise I get more kills than I used to, as well.

In theory I thought the 1 cap = one round thing would fix 2forts problems.
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. It's still basically a kill fest with the occasional cap due to a renegade scout making it to the cap room or a medic forcing people to get together and hang out in the back of the base getting bored while they build an uber to break a sentry with.
I think part of it is just the way the map is designed, it's a persistent map, in that unlike well, or hyrdro or the attack/defend maps the frontline doesn't move, everything is centered around the bridge area and the middle entrances to each base, and it rarely moves from there.
take it for what you will, I won't deny I'm biased since I've always really really disliked 2fort. But as Jon's experiment has shown me, I doubt there's anything that can be done to make me enjoy that map
edit: though I still play it when it comes up cause I like to burn people regardless, it almost feels like a completely different game to me, which is to be expected of the only CTF map Valve released, but I think the problems I have with it lie in the design and not the game-mode, 'cause I really enjoyed turbine back when I could still play pubs
I actually like every single map and 2fort is no exception, since the sewers provide such a fun place to fight around in. I really wish there was a quick way out of the water back upstairs to the bridge though, like stairs or something.
Nah, 2fort is just always hit or miss. If people want to play, they'll play. I like JonXP's change because it does make baton-passing the intel a lot more exciting.
However, there's still a PA server phase of Demomen so it really depends on the makeup of who is on offense.
I'm having a stuttering issue. Every 45 seconds to a minute I get a split second or so of a frozen screen. I don't believe I move in game during this time. There isn't a drop in fps(tested with fraps) nor is there a spike in my latency(it remained around 30ms the hour or so I played).
This is a new rig for me, my specs are;
Athlon 64 X2 4800+(2.5ghz)
2gigs of corsair dual channel DDR2
PNY 8600GT 512 meg PCIe
160gig western digital SATA HDD
WMP54G wirelss network card
Vista Home Premium 64 bit
The only thing I didn't check on during the game was the processor, everything else was cool, and running fine. RAM wasn't maxed out, no extraneous processes etc...
Any ideas?
edit: This problem doesn't present itself at any particular time(heavy action, underwater or anything like that) I could simply be walking through a tiny corridor, like on 2 fort, and the stutter happens.
Zek wonders why I'm just standing there in the middle of well... he decides to think about it later and backstab me only to quickly find out what I knew, that he didn't. You can still see the train as it mosies on by. Revenge is sweet indeed.

I've done this several times myself when I'm playing spy and I always feel like an absolute moron afterwards. But then again, stabbing people in the back is just so much fun that it makes up for it (almost)
I've just recently started playing TF2 and found that there is no greater satisfaction than exposing a Spy's brains with my wrench after he tried to sap my turret. That is all.
My single greatest achievement in this game happened earlier today when I bone-sawed a scout mid air jumping into the water in 2fort. Followed by sawing a spy 5 seconds later....then getting killed by a rocket.
Trus on

This is your problem (well, I think).
Open up a command prompt (type "command" in the search bar)
type ping -t 192.168.1.1 (or whatever your router's address is, that's the default for a linksys)
let that run for a few minutes, and either watch the output and check for any packets with a huge response time or just wait the few minutes and hit ctrl+c to stop the pings and see the stats. If your "highest" response time was huge (and by huge I mean triple digits or worse), then this is your problem.
I had the same problem with Vista Business 32, and I finally just broke down and got a new "Vista Compliant" network card. It seems to be a problem with the way Vista handles wireless networking, and Linksys hasn't released a Vista compatible version of their own monitoring software, so you're stuck with the zero-point config bullshit with those cards.

That's what fucking terrifies me. Whenever you headshot me I know you're whistling a happy tune. I know it and it's scary as shit.
Also, I played like crap today apart from that last Gravel Pit and that hilarious Dustbowl last cap with my spy.

Someone PM me with their universal password.(it is probably a different obscenity now than before)
Why is 2Fort not the map where you get all of those pics of you being jackasses and having a good time, but Well is instead?
Why do you do that on Well, and why do you do it at an annoying time?

After all those rounds dying at marty's hands...
But man I really lucked out with those minigun crits. Of course it helped that the pyro I was shooting chose to try and hide behind a soldier, heh...

I sucked a lot more than usual tonight I think, so I finally just decided to give up.
