Xbox 360 accessories - charger

Hey, I just bought an Xbox 360 and had a couple of questions.

What are the best chargers to buy? The "play and charge kit" or the "quick charge" kit.
I was going to order them off play-asia, but they are out of stock. Are there any other must have accessories, such as the chargers that I am missing? Cheers.

I do not like the play and charge kit. The play and charge kit charges via the USB on the 360 console. when the 360 is off, it does not charge. When you 'play' and try to charge it takes a long time. Plus I noticed it doesn't seem to ever do a full charge. Quick charge is more expensive but well worth it. You can charge 2 batteries at once, it takes 2 hours and your 360 does not have to be on.

Second the Quick Charge. I tried the play & charge at a friend's and really disliked the concept of having to plug in a wireless controller.

I don't mind the play and charge at all, and mine charges when it is off for some reason. It doesn't take long to recharge either, maybe three hours.

I have the play and charge thing, and one of the battery packs died really quickly. I'll probably go with the quick charge next time.

Thanks guys! I live in Australia. As long as I have an adapter, buying one from overseas should be fine? My Nyko Wii charger from the US, works fine.

Wasn't there a xbox update that left the power on to the usb ports when the system was turned off? I seem to recall my charger not working when the xbox was off at first but now it does.

I use the play and charge kits for both of my 360 controllers. They do continue to draw power and charge up after the 360 has been shut down.

Yes, but I find that it turns off after about 2-3 hours.

Two play sessions (and letting it charge after you turn it off) I find will fully recharge your battery pack.

I've got both. and the quick charge is nice, but it seems wasted on me since I generally do single player games as I don't have a lot of friends who game. I just have it in case I entertain and people want to check it out.

I sit fairly close to my TV so being bound by the play and charge kit isn't an issue. But in all fairness, I'm not bound by the cord as you can play without it. you just gotta remember to plug the cord in before you turn the console off so that it charges up. so instead of having to remember, I just leave the thing on all the time.
