To Overclock or not to Overclock.

I am running a AMD X2 3800+ 65watt Windsor which is supposed to be pretty good for overclocking along with a 7600gt Evga video card which also I hear is supposed to be decent for over clocking. I would like to get a little more kick out of my aging AMD X2 and my video card before I retire them. My current temps are...

CPU 27c
System Temp -53 ??? I don't know why it reads -
Harddrive 26c

Do you all think I should go for the overclock? Anyone know a good guide for this cpu because way back in the day when I tried to overclock my p4 I froze my PC up.

    Here is what someone suggested...

the 3800+ x2 will do 2.6 or more (the speed yours is doing now)
    set the fsb to 260
vcore upto 1.4 (depends on chip may need higher)
    lower HTL to 4x (800/1600)
    lower ram to 667 (333 or 1

Just make sure you motherboard has a pci lock or you will seriously regret ever overclocking. Besides that, messing around with your voltage is pretty much the only way to destroy your computer with an overclock.
I suggest you do some overclocking in software first to give you an idea of what you can expect. Personally, I consider overclocking to be the last step you take before you get rid of a PC because the risk just isn't worth the gains unless you go all out.
