I thought there were a few good parts of Passion. It was a pretty bad movie though.
I must admit I shed a tear when Mary ran to him and there was a flashback of him as a child. That was pretty powerful. The rest was basically an unapologetic attempt to hammer home the extent of Jesus' suffering to already guilt-ridden Christians (especially Catholics I guess). It was probably pretty successful in that endeavour.
@gundam - it's a really great movie. My main problem with it was Harvey Keitel's extremely distracting accent. I don't think Judas needs to sound as if he hopped on a time transporter from twentieth-century New York to Jerusalem.
My mom sent me a chain email warning about the evils of the Golden Compass movie and how everyone should boycott it.
Hopefully this is a sign that it will be super popular and everyone will read it.
His Dark Materials is on my (rather long) list of things I need to read and right quick. Hopefully the movie will push this into 'no, seriously, read it' territory.

Honestly I still have no idea what that is.
I keep hearing about it but the title just makes me think of spell components.

When did those books come out? I think I read them back in like... late elementary school/early middle school. I forget the plotlines and stuff, I only remember that they were awesome books.

The Golden Compass? It's the first in the His Dark Materials trilogy. You probably should have heard about it by now.
You should probably read some better books instead m i rite
Don't you get rather tired, preventing your imagination from experiencing any but the most daunting and educational books? Me, I like my eclecticism. Keeps things interesting.

Read up, Incen. You should give it a try, it is really good.
You know, find the magic key to open the door to get laid by the princess.

I never read the Golden Compass nor cared to see about the movie until I heard the Catholic Church was against it. Now I want to get to a theatre first chance I get to watch it.

oh that is IT then
i'm not gonna censor my movie recommendations to you ever again
I only just noticed your hilarious sig.
That sig is hilarious.
My mom read it on my recommendation and we both love it.
My mom sounds less weird than your mom.
I am unkind to my poor puppy - putting antlers on her and then sharing her shame with the world.

She looks so morose. Her eyes are filled with a sad resignation.
It's amazin'.
Full-sized shaming.
She is.
On the inside.

Morning, for now.
Hopefully this is a sign that it will be super popular and everyone will read it.
Edit it to fit The Passion of the Christ and send it back to her.

Presumably she wants to see her mom again from time to time.

I've heard of the Golden Compass. So basically it's The Plot Token Series?

But not until I finish reading Herodotus.
Especially since, having just finished a Zelda game, I don't want to see another damned plot token for a few months.

Historical literature by ancient Greeks less so, I'm betting.
I'm reading Herodotus. It's pretty much olol you misinterpreted the Oracle now you're fucked.
Not so much olol get the magic sword or you're fucked.
Why the hate against the Catholic church?
Edit: And why are you awake, Bob? O_o
Since when does church-hate need a specific reason?
Every form of hate has a reason and most of them are bad?
