German Bands (Not a copy of ege, I swear!)

Hey guys!

I used to live in Germany for about 4 years, but never really listened to any of the music while there. I know I should have, but I wasn't into music then like I am now. *Shrugs* I was young and stupid!

Anyway, I'd love to know of some bands that are German, and/or sing in German. I know of Rammstein (duh), and another I just picked up on is E-Nomine. E-Nomine is in my top 10 favorite bands of all time now. So if you know any bands that sound anything remotely like them, I would love you long time.

Really the only things I was to avoid is anything pop/hip hop. Rock/Metal/Techno/etc is all well and good.

German is my favorite language, and I'm intending to take classes on it when I get some spare slots in my curriculum at the University.

Oomph!, Megaherz, and Eisbrecher are 3 German bands I listen to a lot of, and they're similar to Rammstein, though less techno/dance. More just metal/rock.

Listen to a few samples, and if that's the kind of stuff you like, I'd suggest looking up the German genre Neue Deutsche Harte and just listening to bands from that genre. It's how I stumbled across a lot of bands I like.

I posted this in another thread some time ago:

You might want to try ASP. They've got a mix of German and English lyrics. But of course, most of it isn't calm.

Die Apokalyptischen Reiter are somewhat similar to ASP, using both English and German in their songs. Some of their tracks (e.g. Das Paradies, Liebe) are more ballad-like. It might not sound like it but their German lyrics are quite sophisticated.

Speaking of sophisticated: Goethes Erben are one of the most intellectual German bands ever. Again, very sophisticated use of language.

    And of course there's Knorkator.
They're like SE++ in musical form in German. Don't ask, really.

I guess this isn't really what you were looking for, all in all.

This might fit a bit more. "Berühr' mich nicht" by Adversus, the whole song even.

I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
