quick question. I'm in the market for a laptop, moving away from home for afew months and if I'm not connected to the internet, i may well die. Hence, a laptop.
has 2 gig of ram, good dualcore processor and for 700$ seems like a good price.
I guess I'm just looking for the last push in that direction.
EDIT: My only hang up is the 6-cell battery. I'd like something with a fairly good life. Any idea about how long itd last me in a powersaver configuration?
EDIT #2: I guess I should have put this in G&T, but I like you guys alot more.
I can't really answer your question, seems like a fairly good price to me too, but I'd recommend you go to www.notebookreview.com and go to their forum and ask there. They're very helpful and will recommend you a great machine (they even have a forum specifically for you to post your needs from a notebook and get recommendations)
as long as you don't mind not being able to game, that will be a fine laptop.
RE: battery. You can probably buy a higher capacity battery, or a second 6 cell bettery direct from Toshiba. I'd look it up. expect to spend $200ish for that though.

Would I be able to get away with valve games or WoW - since they scale pretty well? Would the limiting factor be the graphics card?
ya, it has an X1200, which is an integrated card. You'll be able to do WoW, since I think WoW will run on a commodore64(I kid). Valve games......maybe on really low settings, but I wouldn't expect much.
a $700 laptop is not meant for heavy gaming. Dont' expect otherwise.
