How about their cable clutch assembly. Sum bitches always broke. Their interiors are such win though. The dash, shifter, seats, etc so nicely laid out. I also love forest green gauges. I miss My 900 SE Turbo.
Well it's 90 degrees outside today so I may take my Jeep out around the block. It has battery issues so we have to start it up like once a week or so to make sure it still starts. It's an 85 CJ7 but nothing on it is stock. It's got a lift and new giant tires and a holly carberator. I'm not really a car person so I don't know everything that's on it but I love the kill switch. It's disguised as the air conditioner button.
sure, it gets 20mpg if i'm lucky, and its real wheel drive and lack of antilock breaks are wonderful for the winter, but i still love it
just a few days ago it survived a wonderful trip through a ditch at high-speed and i think the only thing that happened to it was the trim over the right front tire was jarred loose

My sister had to get a kill switch on her honda cause it kept getting stolen. The bad part of getting the switch was that stuff just got stolen out if it instead of the whole car being stolen. I hate hondas.

However - there was one guy previously that said he was really enjoying having a turbo. I like the turbo, and its fun, but I don't think its something I really want on my next car. You really have to adjust your driving style to get the most out of a turbo. Because the turbo doesn't actually kick in until after 3,000+ RPMS, you have to shift differently. Not a huge pain in the ass, but just different. If you happen to be in a gear where you are hovering around 2,000 RPMs and just coasting along, there can sometimes be a delay between when you hit the gas and when the turbo kicks in.

if you drive it hard you have to keep it in the powerband
dem's the breaks
Yeah, you're right. It took me a little while to get used to. I like it, and I recommend driving a car with a turbo for at least a little while just for the experience. However, I think for my next car I want something with power throughout the whole range.

something V6 maybe?
God that car is pretty.
Yea, the turbo on the WRX took a bit to adjust too, but I love being able to just downshift and watch the RPM climb and then at 3k? Heh...it's great.
For a more steady power through the whole range either a bigger engine or a supercharger. Those produce a much greater powerband and a shit ton of torque.

Yes, I'd always go for the supercharger. I hate turbolag. As far as I know nobody's made either for the Nissan VG33E engine (in my Pathfinder).

Isn't that the same engine as in the X-Terra? The X-terra had a supercharged version coming from the factory, although it was tuned to only 210hp because the transmission couldn't handle much more than that.

The Xterra used the VG33ER, which may be just a VG33E with a factory supercharger slapped on, but I think there may be other differences too. My VG33E was built in 1998, and the ER version wasn't in use until 2001 I think. As far as I know, there are no aftermarket turbos or supers for the stock VG33E engine (which isn't terribly surprising, the pathfinder and frontier aren't exactly tuner cars).

you know what might help?
crying about it.
fuck
pause it at 29 seconds!
What the heck is that then?
Dear satan I wish for this or maybe some of this....oh and I'm a medium or a large.
The seats are awesome, like race seats, and I've never had to help out with the clutch cable, but I understand that was fixed not that long ago.
thats the sedan
they come in sedan and hatchback now
as opposed to sedan and wagon

I'm just saying, a firend of mine drives a manual, and complains about taking it in traffic all the time.
Also,
Those cars seriously all look the same to me.

Not the prettiest sports car, but it runs on electricity. So yay.

Dear satan I wish for this or maybe some of this....oh and I'm a medium or a large.
Ya know, whenever I do that, I get told that it doesn't help.
So quit your lying.
I'm sick of it.

it's sooooo weird to drive
it's going faster and faster and faster
but silently

VW/Audi's 2.0T pretty much doesn't have any turbolag since it's making max torque at 2k rpm.
Mazda's 2.3T makes 280lb/ft torque at 3k in the MS3 application but by all accounts it ramps up pretty evenly up to that point
subaru has also reduced turbolag in the 2004 update to the WRX
so

Just driving along and then it suddenly becomes a 273 horsepower beast....
I managed to get the guy from the dealership to say "Holy Shit!" during the test drive....I almost bought it on the spot.
the Colbat SS is a hella crazy track car
the 260hp turbo version coming out next year will school everything in class on the track, including the mazda.
i drove both the regular SS and the supercharged SS. The regular auto SS is a piece of crap. The S/C is very fast and very tossable.
