Man, I rolled Pally for TBC so I could be Ret PEW PEW; but then one of our main Holy Pallidans flakes out and I gotta respec and regear to pick up the slack.

Guy comes back about a month later to play Ret Pally...

Healing is pretty rewarding, but healadin'ing is not the most interesting venue to get that reward.

Why you would gimp yourself by raiding with Mutilate is beyong me, other than actually enjoying the spec or something. :P

    What build are you using?
    41/20/0; nothing else to be.

Also, I'm aware that 1) my performance only shines because of other people's underperformance and 2) it's not like they made me an ultimatum, they're doing me a favor by letting me stick with the spec of my choice without having any guilt about it... if I can prove my worth. ;O

I would have gotten a great laugh if you were 41,0,20, raiding with Mutilate on a poison immune mob and you beat a Combat Sword Rogue on the meters. I would laugh long and hard.

Of course, doing it with 41,20,0 is almost just as ridiculous. The other Rogues must be horrible beyond belief.

    Well, certainly not PuGs.

Anyone with the level of gear required for heroic Black Morass is most likely in a raiding guild.

But if you are in a progressed guild, and you're geared enough, its 30minutes of work for three badges, and if its the daily its five badges. And there's also some nice loot too.

It's not fucking raiding difficulty! The last time I did it, it was me and some friends in blues and Kara epics!

If you're running other Heroics, you can run Heroic Black Morass. People vastly overestimate it, and they should at least fucking try. It burns me up I can't even get together a group to wipe on it. And, like, it's not even just Black Morass-- it's every Heroic that isn't Slave Pens, Underbog, or Mechanar.

I advertise looking for a group in the PAA channel, and eight dipshits will chime in WHOA THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE LOL GL WITH THAT and then it's impossible to find a group. Fucking retarded.

The daily today was Heroic Mana Tombs, and myself and a Mage tried three times to get a group together and failed before giving up for good. I even have the Yor key-- people still don't want to come. "Oh, that instance is impossible!"

Most people you find in PuGs at 70 are not in blues and Kara epics.

The people with that level of gear (it may be low but its still better than a lot) have long since given up on PUGs. Mostly, you PuG your way to 70, because most guilds don't have a diverse enough level range to put together groups for non-70 instances and non-heroics on a reliable basis. Then, once you get to 70, you are probably in a guild and you run a few guild groups, realise how much better they are and how much smoother they go, and never PuG again.

The only thing I PuG is BGs, because I have to. I usually run 2-3 heroics a night on a non-raid night, and usually 1 or 2 heroics after a raid on a raid night, if the raid went well or finished early.

Dhalph, I'm not talking about PUGs, though-- I'm talking about the 120-170 players present in each of the PAA chat channels, along with my guild and the guilds of my friends. I don't really consider these 'PUGs' because I know everyone involved, and neither should they, so I don't understand why you insist that I am looking to do these Heroics in PUGs.

I'm not. I've never even considered that. The default status of the /LFG chat channel on my client is off.

I've yet to make it into a heroic myself. Nearly had my first try Sunday (H-SV), but the group couldn't find a tank to save our lives. Hey, if I'm commited to only trying SV one more time, might as well be heroic...

So I can't talk about H-BM but pugging the standard version is pretty hit/miss. When I've run it with my tankadin friend (who has run it so many times he's exalted many times over) it went like a breeze -- but the times I haven't have been almost painful. Don't get me started on the run where the DPS got blamed that the priest wasn't healing...

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute, just wait and see
I'll tell you how I became GL of a guild called FC

In the Fancy Lads I was born and raised
Healing instances and raids was how I spent most of my days
Poppin mana pots and makin life-bars more green
Wit my homies "This is HORSESHIT" Gruim and Kirsh the Queen

We cleared MC, killed the Firelord
Fished for hours in AV and said "Fuck the horde"
Bested Nefarian and the old god C'thun indeed
While Curserson was afk smokin his wacky weed

While playing WoW, on vent we'd chill
Yuri being sarcastic as fuck, Pro just keepin it real
Taka /slitting wrists, Neph complaining (it's not rare)
Parsi's in the closet with the baby hair

When BC came, we decided to form our own crew
The trouble was we didn't know what the fuck to do
We had no DKP, no forums, no class, no cred
Our only entrance requirement was: "Give Syl head"

But then Blotto and Phil got the hook up, yo
We got a list of enchants from the grumpy old man, Seebo
With Nyctere and Ollam, we had some shadow priests
Narakh and Cipro come packin some wind serpent beasts

Rada'd like to be here but he's dead again, who knows
Scented tampons? Brisies and Whirr have the cons and the pros
Svid and Temp on the side with the QQ about cleaves
Meathop and Ioam, pop ur heroism prz

Aphesian's got the fraps to prove our shit is true
Ripman's a crazy Canadian, he's how we got that extra "u"
Olver's from Finland, where he found himself a wife
Parrog's from Germany, she's the only bear in my life

We also got Wind and Maz but they're kind of scrubby
Helefice's head needs to be more chubby
Hadrian's trollin on the forums, Rishya where r u
We've even got our very own Hobo too

Now we've had some server firsts heading into Serpentshrine
To see what kind of marginal upgrades we can find
Packin mad consumables 73 bagslots full
Up next is Hydross, hey resist fites r kewl

We'll have to leave the story right here for now
And I'm sure I was able to fuck it up somehow
But there you are, I hope that you can see
How we became the guild called Flavour Country

Happy!: Got called in to do Kara with a group I ran with once before-- we proceeded to do very silly things. 3 minute Attumen, 2 minute Maiden, 3 minute Moroes (WTF), 4 minute Opera, single Evocate Curator, ... then we had a wipe on Shade due to elementals deciding to gank our primary healer while he was under missiles. Whoops! Momentum picked up after that, though. Prince wiped us once, and on the second fight we had two consecutive meddlesome infernals that we had to wait for despawns-- it was still smooth after that though (we stopped DPS at 63%, so he didn't enter Phase 2 until after the infernals were gone).

I picked up the Nightbane chestpiece, knocking off the last epic in Kara that I really needed and got my Exalted signet. The rest of the stuff I need is miscellany; I wouldn't mind Romulo's vial, or one of the epic rings (still using a blue), but it's nothing I really feel I need Kara for.

    So.

Karazhan is now just awesome fun, and no longer a requirement. :D

Aggro on a raidboss really, really shouldn't happen. I couldn't even do it on any boss cept Bloodboil, RoS, and Illidan. What kind of TPS is your tank putting out? Are you earth shielding/PoM/Misdirect/Lifebloom aiding him, especially early in pulls?

Aggro on MH trash happens at times though, especially if you heal a lot through VE. I make a point of always being near the feral tank that I know is fast to respond to such things.

Oh it's totally the cost, and the fact that "I'll upgrade it in a week or two." As if we have Nethervoid Cloaks dropping two and three at a time. This is the same guy who runs Karazhan weekly for the shadow necklace that never drops. And he's wearing a cloak from Karazhan. He's had plenty of time to get it enchanted with something. (Note we have a rule that you can't win epics unless all your current shit is enchanted/gemmed, which we didn't realize we had to check up on people about like they're toddlers until recently.)

I'm not sure what was up with aggro, our MT is usually amazing, I just assumed she had some parry issues or whatever because a few people shot up Omen pretty quickly. The point stands that as a threat-capped class with no aggro dump you do more DPS if your threat output is lower. And saying "oh it's fine I'll just lower my raid utility by not using VE and making healers deal with my SW: D" is such bullshit.

Should you require further assistance, please submit another help request the next time you are online. We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!

The answer translates as: "Oh, you lost a miscellaneous DPS class halfway through and had to replace him or not finish the instance? Haha, you're fucked bitch!"

It doesn't even make sense. There is no possible exploit! You have to be in the group that killed the quest mob to loot the quest item, so no one but the current group could possibly loot the Projector. And it's not like he respawns so that people could just keep coming in to a cleared instance to kill him for the Projector. What the hell are they smoking?

I spent four hours in that accursed place due to terrible pickups and poor luck, all because I thought I could complete the daily. I guess now I know better.

That is the most retarded thing I heard this week.

    Edit: I hate ToTP.

Something I don't like however is Meta Gems. Recently I got my T4 helm for my mage and I immediately went looking for a meta gem. The only one that would work without breaking any of my sockets was the Terrokar PvP one. Which isn't all THAT bad, but there was certainly better.

That's retarded enough that I'd imagine that the GM response was wrong and that it is in fact some sort of bug.

    Yeah that takes the cake.

I mean, either the GM is wrong, or woefully uninformed/misinformed as to the mechanics of the game.

GM is wrong, or my friend who came in for the last boss of Sethekk is amazingly lucky.

We did encounter a funny bug though. These mobs thought they were on the elevator, but they were actually outside. They went up and down with the elevator, even after we killed them.
