RMA difficulties

Last September I bought a BFG 7900GT for my new computer but pretty much around the time Bioshock came out it has been going weird (artifacts) but it was my impression it was me using beta drivers so I could get the best performance of the games I was playing at the time (Bioshock, then betas>demos>retail version of Crysis)

so today I got the RMA process started and got the info and whatnot I needed to send it back but then I noticed something, the info I was supposed to print out and send with my video card listed me as having a 7900GS not GT I looked at multiple bench marks and the GS isn't as powerful of a card so I immediately emailed BFG support and told them I likely just had a miscommunication with the phone person and then I was replied to and said to send back all my information. I did and they still say it is a 7900 GS.

I'm going to call them tomorrow but I'm assuming my video card has a wrong serial number sticker or something, but if they don't rectify this problem what do I do? I'm not sending them anything if I'm not going to get the same product back or better.
