    With a pre-order.

After beating the demo, it allows you to save the game and that save file unlocks a unique weapon that you can use in the full game.

I went to GameStop yesterday to try and get the demo disk. The girl behind the register said they only got two despite the fact that they had a shitton of preorders, so she's gonna call in and get more.

It's really cool that Patapon's getting so much attention. I definitely need to get that demo disk if it unlocks a unique weapon, though.

I've only played the demo, but I already want a sequel to this game. Just to guarantee more Patapon!

Also, needs more US release date for Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida.

Holy crap, there's a tree to the left of the Meeting Site that gets you a ton of materials in a mini-game. I never even thought to look there. I wondered who that weird guy in trhe hat was that insta-popped from that maker-tree thing.

Why the hell isn't this demo available on the yourpsp.com store? I thought one of the big points of downloadable content was to throw up demos of every game released to give you a taste. Now I need to pre-order it to get a demo?

Sounds backwards. They're also selling on ebay for US$5 a pop, bastards.

Still buying it though... curse their ingenuity.

It went up on the playstation store today. My memory stick is too small for it, damn it. Plenty of room for saves and even a locoroco demo, but I couldn't hold this one even if I wiped it. I guess I could try to guilt my local Gamestop into giving me a copy of the demo. I have had an online order on it for a few months, I deserve one.

If this doesn't work, might I be able to bum a clear save off someone before the actual game comes out?

How does this damned PS Store work? I can't seem to get it to recognize my PSP. :|

Vista. PSPhat. USB Cable. I think it's because Vista sees it as 'removable drive 23' instead of 'PSP'. Bah.

Goto map->pick map->triangle to equip characters->highlight character->select button to delete (help tip says quit).

I think the demo says retire, but the retail says quit. So man, that's confusing.

This is the only all Patapon, all the time thread I could find so...

PATAPON 3. For reelz. Not as good as 2, better then 1 and ridiculously balls out hard and complex with far too much emphasis on multiplayer. Eurogamer has a great review up that I pretty much agree with 96% with: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-04-11-patapon-3-review

Also, special codes for in game items:

    The bald-cap helm: JCAF-CENE-ECN4
Special mystery something or other: B7H5-EANG-BLFC (THIS ONLY WORKS IN EUROPE)
Both of those are listed as limited time so grab them soon.

Yeah, 3 is on a whole other plane of existence compared to 2 when it comes to difficulty. Almost every mission has been some sort of struggle. Especially those retarded battle arena maps in single player, which I guess is to show off the VS modes you can play in multiplayer.

I'm really missing the patapon army you had in the first two games though. They basically took out what made single player great so they could make it easier to work in the Co-op.

Still alot of fun at least, although I guess alot of the meat of the game relies on Multiplayer, since there are bosses that basically force you to run with multiple, and the fact that the way to get the best equipment has to do with using other people's Blacksmiths.

Wow this game has some shitty issues.

Rare boss battles? Forget it. I spent THIRTY FUCKING MINUTES attacking a rare giant and his life bar never moved and inch and he never once attacked me. Complete bullshit. Apparently, you can only beat them (and thus get the best stuff) if you play multiplayer. Don't FORCE me to play multiplayer if I don't fucking want to.

Those aforementioned retarded battle arena maps in single player. Flag bearer gets hit once and he'll die and you lose. No fuss, no muss, no ability to control where the little fucker is. I hear if your Uberpon is the shield type, then the flag bearer is immune to damage during fever but that's still a whole lot of BS if you didn't take shield type when you started the game. And go tell it on za mountain, one of those fucking stages is required to clear in story mode.

I am very angry at this game. Also, fuckity fuck fuck fuck.

Anyone able to play multiplayer infrastructure? I'd love to play with people here. There's so few people playing I'm gonna link SA and GAF threads so maybe we can all play together and get the numbers up.

The SA thread in particular has an IRC channel, which is how I got to try out multiplayer in the first place.

So, I got Patapon 2 as one of my free PSN games from Sony.
Uh, so far I think the game is a real stinker. Is it just me, or is the main focus on going through levels over and over again to get the materials to build a more powerful army?
