eMusic suggestions: electronic, ambient

I signed up for eMusic over the weekend and need some suggestions. The service seems pretty good, but I'm just clueless on a lot of the new artists out there and picking my songs is a bit daunting.

I'm mainly looking for electronic, house, ambient, some experimental stuff, a bit of shoegaze and a sprinkling of trance. If anyone has some suggestions on some tasty, intelligent drum & bass that's not too heavy, that'd be awesome as well (I was really into Roni Size for a while and enjoyed Bad Company's Shot Down on Safari).

Here's a listing of some of my old and current favorite artists and I'd love to hear some new music along these lines:

4AD artists: Lush, This Mortal Coil, Pale Saints...
M83: Before the Dawn... is in my top 5 albums since 2001.
Portishead (hey, they've got a new album coming out!)
Some Electroclash: Felix, Electrocute
Pop stuff like Goldfrapp
My Bloody Valentine
Boom Boom Satellites
The Timewriter
Amon Tobin
Aphex Twin
Some DJs I'm into: Oakenfold, Nick Warren, DJ Spooky, Sander Kleinenberg, Pete Tong.

Thanks!!! 8-)

I have emusic, so here's my suggestions on some stuff to get. I don't listen to a whole lot of electronic/house/all your other categories, so I don't know how much these are like the ones in your list:

Dan Deacon - Spiderman of the Rings is a great electronic album, though it's really not house/dance or anything. Silly Hat vs. Egale Hat is another one of his, but is MUCH more experimental and rough.

Kelley Polar is a kind of ambient/pop I guess that's pretty good, I have Love Songs of the Hanging Gardens

Stereolab is kind of electronic/pop too, sorta...

    Charalambides is some good ambient.

    Lemon Jelly is good too.

I'm just kinda looking through my collection and remembering what's good here, if this seems disjointed. I
just kinda browse around listening to stuff on the site until I find something cool.

    Lemon Jelly is good too.

This is driving me crazy--I know I've heard Lemon Jelly somehwere, but can't remember when the hell it was. Yeah, I had some Stereolab a few years back, but they got lost in the shuffle over a couple of moves. Any who, thanks!

I did pick up an album by an artist called Burial for my first eMusic CD. Haven't had a chance to give it a thorough listen yet, but seems like it'll be up my alley: very ambient.

No idea if it's available (I do not know the service), but personally i love listening to Radio Soulwax / 2 many DJ's (which are hour long mixed mashtapes basicly) when working.

If you like shoegaze then you can check out Asobi Seksu, or going back a ways the Jesus and Mary Chain and Cocteau Twins (though you might already have them, being 4AD). Also, for trip hop you can go with Massive Attack or Dot Allison; I liked the latter when I was in high school, but that was the late 90's. I have no idea how her current stuff sounds.

Try some of the tracks put out by Composure Records and FeralCode Records.

Andrew Kelly (on Composure) has some great housey stuff, and some of it is kind of experimental. She Thinks She's Underground (Original Mix) is one of my favourite tracks of all time.

Not direct suggestions, but the lists feature on emusic is usually really good.
e.g. for shoegazer http://www.emusic.com/lists/showlist.html?lid=22274266&nickname=shoegazer9&cs=1 is a nice list. (mira - mira is good)

Also, if you go to "Your Profile" and check out the Neighbours tab, that sometimes comes up with good suggestions, and adding other people with similar tastes let's you browse through the songs they've downloaded in the friends tab.

    (also, 4ADish is Maple Bee)

eMusic is good for browsing by many of the descriptors listed for an artist, and almost the entire NinjaTune library is up. Check them out; you probably won't be disappointed.

I'd suggest most of Daniel Myers' projects: Haujobb, Destroid, Architect etc.
