Me and my mom are looking to get a game and my mom wanted to get him Rockband but I told her not to because he really does have hardcore ADD. He will play a game for a day and then hardly ever play it again and 169.99 is a bit much for a game thats only going to be played once or twice. So whats a good game for someone who has a low attention span and is 16. I want a game he will play more then 2 days if even possible.
I'd say either
Crackdown - Sandbox, lots to do, quick fun.
Halo 3 - Shooter, shiny textures might hold his attention a little longer.
PGR 4 - Racing, If he likes racing games.
Or MS points would probably be good since he could get several games to bounce between.
While Rock Band is out of the question due to cost, what about Guitar Hero 3 instead?
A proving ground of sort?
DeadRising might also do the trick for someone with ADD, theres tonnes of wacky crap you could do in that game.
It sounds like if hes a fan of SC, its probably because of all the crazy UMS stuff. I don't think any RTS really does it as well as SC for wacky unconventional maps.
I'd also recommond games that are more sand boxish, like let you do anything you want. Is Assassin's Creed like that? I haven't tried it yet.
There's tons of good stuff on the system like Galaxy, Prime 3, Zelda, Z&W, Gh3, Super Paper Mario, RE4we, trauma center 1 & 2, strikers, geo wars, fire emblem, reuc, bwii, etc.
But for someone with a very short attention span, you'd think something like Wario Ware or Rayman, in which they throw a ton of of short and accessible games at you in rapid fire, you'd think he'd be able to enjoy such things, as opposed to starting some epic quest like Zelda and dropping the game halfway through the first dungeon.
Actually, if she's willing to spend the money I would think Rock Band could be quite good for him. Often, ADD kids actually take to music quite well and it has been used in some cases to help them focus on tasks. I would think the ability to chose what role in the band he wants along with the choices of music would keep him interested as well.
Does he already spend a lot of time listening to music?

Yeah this would be the best bet. 5 games for one price, and he can switch when he gets bored.
He just says "I dunno"
Maybe Call of Duty 4 but I am not sure if he has X-box Live.
Portals would be bad for someone with ADD and I don't think he would ever Finish Half-Life 2.
Then he'll play TF2. He's got a ton of games to play... Otherwise a game wouldn't be the best choice for someone with ADD :P
A: You can dick around all you want in that game and never get bored
B: Im contractually obliged as a 360 owner to recommend this game at every opportunity.
Then fuck 'em.
Catan as well.
That's so wrong... It's right.
He likes RTS games? Company of Heroes / Dawn of War?
Maybe Supreme Commander?
Incidentally, it's funny that he has hardcore ADD and like RTS games like Starcraft, I wouldn've thought the two don't mesh.
ever wonder where ZOMG ZERG RUSH KEKEKEKEKE came from?
I think all he should get is a sound beating. Kid needs some fucking sense.
3DS: 1650-8480-6786
Switch: SW-0653-8208-4705
South Korea?
ball buster
Huh. There's a surprise.
With stuff like Rayman and WarioWare and shit I'd think he'd be in heaven.

That's not what I meant, at all.

Plus, I was partially joking too.
