umm, i hope this is the right forum...if not..strike me down where i stand.
I had a Lacie porsche drive. it died. i thought it was just the enclosure...no such luck. i work at a computer store where wee do data recovery. it wont spin up. at all.
so i buy another drive with the same firmware and swap the controller boards because i dont like losing.
it spins up. YAY! but is not recognized. BOO!
now i quest for a 250GB barracuda 7200.8 Hard drive with firmware 3.03 and site code AMK. and if you have an old lacie porsche firewire drive...i might be interested in gambling on that.
I'll pay, of course.
or, if for some really odd reason money isnt an issue, i could just use the pcb board and send whatever you send me back to you. or i could send you a drive (i now have 3 spares) in exchange.
i have some pretty important data on this drive and would be incredibly grateful if someone could help me out.
