How many of you besides Bad Karma actually care about Countdown? Most of you are buying it just because like TLB right?
I'm convinced nobody actually likes Countdown. They've just bought 20+ issues of shit, wasted $60+, and must now defend that choice so as not to appear foolish. Then there are the people who are buying it because it's supposedly the spine of the DCU, even though most books that tie into it do so in a completely meaningless fashion, and nothing important's really happening in the pages of Countdown itself. Really, the two major stories within Countdown (Death of the New Gods & the Search for Ray Palmer) both have their own spin-off minis where the actual important stuff's more likely to happen. Then there's people who are buying it because it's leading into Final Crisis, but honestly, if you think that Grant Morrison's going to write a massive, sprawling epic that stems from such iconic, timeless stories as Mary Marvel dressing like a slut and acting evil, Trickster making gay jokes about Piper, Jimmy Olsen doing.. stuff, and the Challengers of the Beyond looking for a tiny guy, you deserve to lose your money.

Hey look, it's Munch, being wrong again.
And Balefuego, why do you care so much about what I read?
See, my deal with Countdown is it shows the inherent flaws of giving a story that is supposed to be 52 issues to a dude who's used to wrapping up an entire story in one, maybe two.

I hate Damion Scott's art
But it's nice to see this Raven mini-series actually coming out
wasn't someone else gonna do the art of Raven?
Oh hey Sandman is back for a cover, sweet.
maybe Gog? they've been hinting at that
I can't have an incomplete run of anything. I just can't.
Every issue I buy pains me.
YET I KEEP DOING IT.
Also, that JSA cover looks like the album art for a Christian Rock band.
