Imperishable Night Translation Patch Released
Posts
Edit: Not to slag the game or anything since it looks fine, but "imperishable" is absolutely hilarious.
The plot of the game is that the heroines stop time and create an endless night. It's actually probably the closest Zun has come to making sense in a title, especially when compared with stuff like Phantasmagoria of Flower View, Immaterial and Missing Power, and Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.
It's blessed +7 shmup of Completely Awesome.
Good, it looks sweet. I'll have to try it when I get home.
Demo (stages 1-3) (pretty sure the trans-patch won't work with this)

Other things that make you cry
Actually, those three are pretty easy. Everlasting Phoenix Tail... now that's a pain in the ass.
And this isn't quite like Ikaruga; just straight bullet hell.
More like Castle Shikigami 2.
I guess having the full game is required for this patch to be any good?
Don't get discouraged. Easy difficulty is quite accessible, and after you can beat the game with a few different characters on Easy, you'll be able to get started on Normal. I actually didn't like danmaku ("bullet hell") shooters until playing this game (that includes Ikaruga, which I bought because it's an astonishing work of art, but which always made me cry like a baby on a hot stove). It's really excellent training; don't listen to those people who scorn all difficulty levels below Lunatic -- they're not actually human beings. :P
The character pairs are not equal in difficulty; the first one (Reimu/Yukari) is probably easiest for novices like I was, because of Reimu's homing shots. The Touhou Wiki has more strategy advice for all the Touhou games.
At least I'm not a masochist! OOhhh, burn!
