DrIanMalcolm and BlindPsychic had me and sonictk shooting the fuck out of things in Hydro. Prior to that I'd always felt I could get nothing done as a heavy on that map. Go medics!
See here? This pyro knows resistance is useless, so he's just lying back and relaxing in an out-of-the-way place. And in respect of his sensible move, we left him be.
This was taken a few days back but I forgot to post it. That heavy gets really jealous about his medic's attentions:
"Dude, quit shooting me! I'm on fucking fire, have some empathy!"
Is there any way of keeping the scoreboard out of deathcams? Because this is an awesome shot and I'm sick of the stats getting in the way.
"But we agreed melee only! Boxing! Bo-"
And finally, although BlindPsychic is an awesome medic, he's so goddamn camp as a scout.
Also, muzzleflashes are larger now. 1st person shotty and scatter gun are huge, 3rd person SMG is huge. New crit and teleport effects are nice though. Heavy laser light show!
All I have to say was I was one with my sticky nades tonight, it was a couple fun custom maps, although the one after this game, seems to have a more of a UT feel then TF2, with lots of Z action and twisting halls.

Does anybody know if there's a way to change push-to-talk to constantly talk? I was thinking about setting up music over the microphone but I don't feel like holding down the button constantly.

It was bad enough earlier today when someone started "singing".

Medic is fast becoming my favourite class. Quickly.
But it becomes exponentially more awesome when you have a medic partner. In this game I teamed with sentinel and we raped faces. At one point I had the entire opposite team on dominated but they clawed it back as we ran out of time and had to start gang rushing the last cap point.
Dammit, I'm sorry guys. I've been trying to upgrade my server for hours now, I don't know what's up.

I think instead of using turbine, we should use crossunder for our ctfing needs. Its got a really complex underground thing which is cool, and also has a straightforward front thing which is also cool. I like it.
* Added effects to players when they earn an achievement, visible to other players nearby
Huh, wonder what the effect will look like.
I saw it today on a pub server, it looks like a trophy above the persons head and it makes a popping noise and some confetti i think, lasted about 2 seconds. Also it will announce it over general chat that "X player has completed Y achievement" or something like that.
So I just got through playing on a pub server, and wow, apparently I'm pretty decent as a medic. Led the scoreboard for a couple rounds, healed about 2500+ something in a single life to break my own record, and got several compliments.
Which is odd, because I find playing medic rather boring, and would much rather be a Heavy or a Pyro. Hmm.
man, what is this crap with waiting to get into the server for more than an hour only to get a "server is full message"? Is it patch related maybe? don't think I've seen that before
So pissed. Was on the last point on well with a medic and the other team already half in number capped their 2nd point. Then the team pussied up and it was a stalemate.
Edit: well i assume it was a stalemate I left a couple minutes later.

Probably because there are 10 people queued up to join the server because one of them is down.

Just to make it really clear.
The change to the medic ubercharge during setup means he can heal anybody, anybody at all, doing anything they feel like doing, they can be dancing on top of each other in a giant stack of scouts, and he will still get his ubercharge with 19 seconds left on the clock.
It fills at the fastest rate possible even if they are at 150% health already.

Alright, in the middle of your spree, we're going to crash the game, and when you try to start it back up again, we're going to go into a Validation loop.
This has been my experience with Steam for a long while
I haven't played with the new patch, but I like the sound of this setup ubercharge change.
I'm a little upset about the lowered damage against sapped buildings though. It was already incredibly hard to kill a sentry, even sapping, stepping back, and shooting it. If there was more than just the Engineer around, you're not likely to even get that far. The Spy's only purpose in Valve's eyes, it seems, is to keep the Sentry from firing long enough for the rest of his team to come in and finish it off, rather than being able to do anything by himself. I realize this is Team Fortress and all, but that's still a little ridiculous.
But as I said... I haven't played with the new patch. Perhaps it's not quite as bad as it sounds.
now while I wait another hour to get in I may as well post, Asiina you betrayed your pyro roots, but mad repect because unlike me you can also be a great medic. Cheers to that
edit: and I really like the new ubercharge change. I wanna see a team of 6 medics and 6 <whatevers> uber'd charge out the gates after setup on dustbowl, only to be met by 6 medics + 6 <whatever also uber'd>
What, understanding what you expect them to do or actually doing it? Because actually doing it can be pretty damn difficult if the opposition is taking the time to help guard their engineers' SGs.
When my team has one or more spy, but the team keeps getting killed by sentry guns, and not once in many minutes of play do I see a sapper destroying or being destroyed, I want to punch through the screen. Yes, if the team is totally coordinated, it's hard to destroy things as a spy, but I often don't see any spies trying.
Unless you're the fucking Michael Jordan of backstabbing, your primary goal should be to destroy guns.
Just to make it really clear.

This isn't really meant as a reply solely to you, just wanted to quote somebody that said something along the same lines of what I'm going to say.
I really think the ubercharge in the beginning is completely unnecessary. It's almost as if Valve said, "Hey, basically everyone and their mother does this during setup sooo...we're gonna just change the game so you don't have to anymore. Have fun not playing!"
What's next? "Almost everyone gets A on Gravelpit anyways so we'll just give you it and the time bonus to start off with. Also, we'll goto every person's house who's on Defense and kick them in the nuts."
What the fuck am I supposed to do for 60 seconds in Dustbowl and Gravelpit? Trying to shovel scouts only holds my attention for so long.
Just to make it really clear.

Well, the other team does have things to do which do take up the 60 seconds. Like get to the gate, set up sentries, and things like that.
Also, you guys can be setting up a plan of offense, as in which way to go.
You can also play Soltaire.

I have moderate ADHD that I control with medication, and it was boring as fuck to sit there healing somebody getting to at least click buttons to blow themselves up. I get bored doing things I enjoy sometimes, so this was soul crushing. I'd finish an awesome round of dodging and healing and excitement and bonesawing and be faced with staring at a soldiers emo ass.
Now I can run around trying to get as many people to 150% as possible so I can have six people running out the gate with near 150% slowly bleeding off to take those first rockets, and an ubercharge.
I can't wait to play the game again, I'm jumping on again right now. I love this change.

I noticed. As soon as everything *finally* freaking updates, I'll see what changes need to be made.
EDIT: OK, I give up. I've been trying to update for an hour now and no dice. I'll try later tonight/tomorrow when it's less busy.
