    Yes. i will be in SF on the 12th of Jan and in LA on the 15th. I don't know who is organizing either but i'd definitely like to do it.

    Rolo is correct in the origins.
    It started back in older computer games where text chat was still the norm. People, in a hurry to type homo, would often hit the p button. Resulting in the humorous "homp".

    People just ran with it from there.

    I think DiabloII had one of the first instances, I can't be quite sure.
