In a new interview over at Newsarama, Dan Didio basically apologizes for Countdown, Action Comics, Wonder Woman and promises that DC will get their act together.
It's about bloody time... cause DC is absolutely driving me nuts right now...
and for this
The amount of interest in Captain Carrot is not enough to support a series coming out, so what we did was that we brought about a way to tie it in to Countdown that would give us a reason to publish another Captain Carrot series with the hope that people would find it, enjoy it, and maybe ask for more. If the desire is there, we will do more

" You can't say that, you're crazy!"
" No, I'm eccentric... only poor people are called crazy."
Not sure how well the whole "DCU won't be tying into Final Crisis as it is happening" thing will work out. It might feel disjointed like the 52 / OYL relationshiop
At least the man's got the stones to admit when he's fucked up as opposed to some other overweight psuedojolly editor-in-chiefs out there.
The Marvel Universe would probably be a pretty boring place if it wasn't for Joe Quesada, steeped in the same ad nauseum that DC has gone through for years.
Unlike Didio, he actually realizes a world like this needs to evolve over time instead of just inserting a bunch of incestuous fucking between multiverses.
But yeah, I'll be glad when Joe is gone so we can get back to going around in circles and get away from the ever looming fear of the slightest change in our comic books.
Change is nice when it's good, or when it results in something interesting, but changing things for change's sake is ridiculous. In the last five years or so Spider-Man has went through a million and one changes, but I feel like things happen so quickly that we're never really given the chance to appreciate any new type of status quo, whether it be his new powers, his mentor relationship with Tony that happened and disappeared almost overnight, and his unmasking. The same is true for the Avengers, who spent 15 issues getting together only to be torn apart within a year, the X-Men who we are just now seeing some real impact from M-Day, and plenty of other properties/titles. I definitely appreciate what Joe has done for Marvel and think he can still do a lot of good there, but when I read interviews from JMS talking about how he wanted his name removed from One More Day since he was completely against it and Joe was more or less forcing him to do it, I wonder sometimes if he really has everyone's best interest in mind.
I think the problem with the changes is that each time a new team comes in, they want to do something with impact. And that usually results in a drastic change that doesn't hold for too long. Or if it does, it just becomes commonplace.

Wait wait wait. You're arguing for Joe Q as a figure of change, a figure against the status quo, when his current drive is to see parker unmarried- not divorced, not widowed, which are natural changes in a life- UNmarried by the devil's hand? And his aunt back to life again? Tell me where this is a major change and not reverting to the status quo? Jackpot having powers is the ONLY change in status quo being done.

I'd love to see "someone" apologize for outright admitting he hates how an iconic character is actually happy.
HEY ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT JOE QUESADA

Nice to see Dan D admit there were screw ups, what matters if everything now gets worked out and the DC universe is pushed properly.

Plus I like his art

The Marvel Universe shall collapse! It's completely fucked as we know it.
