I didn't talk to Ballbaggins much, if at all, but from the Phalla games, he seems like a good enough folk. Condolences to his family and those near him.
He was one of a few people I'd go into a thread to read posts from when their name was in the 'last post' column.

Its pretty shocking to go into the member's list, see that the Last Visit for MBB reads "Yesterday", and know that its never ever going to read "Today" again.
I didn't know the guy that well, but I still had a pretty good impression of him. My condolences, and I'll try to get a letter sent to the family in the next couple days.
MBB was still a cool guy. I used to mistake him and MrBlarney in phallas, and it usually ended up with hilarious results when MBB cracked that sense of humor of his.
Don't know what else to say, that's pretty goddamn depressing. Tragedy has finally struck our family, it's a lot sadder than I ever thought it would be.

Jesus Christ this is pretty depressing. I can't say I had a lot of exchanges with him here or knew him well but I appreciated him as a member of the forum. Godspeed to him and his family.
:-) I understand why he loved this place. Maybe tomorrow when I'm in better sorts, I can share some stories about what he was like in real life... hint: he seems to have been exactly the same online, and that's why I loved the guy.
He's either titty-slapping St. Peter, or being reincarnated as a really bitchin' pittbull, depending on what one believes...

I just joined this forum, but I have many friends who I know almost entirely from the internet. I've often kept myself up at night wondering how they would know if I died one day, or I would know if they did. In the back of my mind I'm always afraid that they would never find out, and just wonder forever why I never go online anymore.
Thank you, Protagonist, for letting everyone know. This may sound selfish, but it gives me peace of mind to know that people do this kind of thing.
