macro hasn't worked since the GCD changes. FUCKING AMAZING.
to clarify: If I'm mid-cast and press this is does literally nothing (doesn't even cancel the cast!)
The best part, my Polymorph Macro that prevents me from scrambling to find Moon when it breaks early and goes nuts doesn't even target my focus(Sheep), even if I'm not casting.
Shit, it doesn't even GIVE ME a focus, or cast Polymorph.
Great job, Blizzard. You made my Frostbolt more efficient(read: lazier) while breaking every stopcasting macro.
Oh well. It's fun to listen to my friend bitch that it nerfs Hunters by screwing up their rotation.

Why? Why do you tempt me so knowing that I cannot transfer pve to pvp?
Why does the only run for the horde cost 1k gold.
Sigh $125 is allot of money to transfer even if I leave my alts behind $25 is not something to make a snap decision about
In short why?
Okay. Seriously. Is there anything about the game you enjoy? If your server sucks, find a new server that doesn't suck and roll an alt there. Spend a few weeks getting to know the server better and maybe start guild hunting. If you like it, bring over your main and maybe one other character, if you don't, you haven't lost anything except a few weeks of wow playing that you would have otherwise spent languishing on the Horde side of Windrunner. Repeat as often as necessary.

Apparently the next patch currently in testing on the PTR disables the Nagle Algorithm, supposedly improving network latency, especially for people playing WoW internationally.
Some people suggest that the Nagle Algorithm is artificially inflating ping times by as much as 40% (around 160ms on a 400ms ping), once again proving that Blizzard has absolutely no idea what they're doing.
My question is: Did Blizz implement the Nagle through a patch, or was it always in there? It seems to me that it's always been in there, since my ping time to WoW servers in-game was always ridiculously high.
It's always been there. And while the Nagle algortithm will inflate ping time, the only people really, really seeing it screw them are Oceanic players. NA/EU players will see some benfit from disabling it, but nothing near as dramatic as the Oceanic players will see. But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing, dial up players really shouldn't disable it for instance because they are still throttled by the number of packets they can send out.

1k gold to run gruul? wow, thats criminal . paying anything for that is just criminal .
and yes you should re-roll completely . Preferably something PVP or RP-PVP and most definitely HIGH POPULATION.
I always thought the PVP ruleset servers were all about Kill on sight gankfest all the time but I realized pretty quick that live and let live is a much safer philosophy. Simply, that guy questing minding his own business is going to be back in two minutes tops , pissed, and you have a quest to do there and chances are pretty high you're about to reap what you sow. Same thing goes for them . Simple fact but if you want to level you really don't have time to gank someone and camp their body. You just aren't going to get anything done that way , also with leveling XP enhancements it's ridiculous how fast you can burn through a zone . I think I skipped felwood , winterspring, and silithus , completely.
I highly encourage you to re-roll someplace. On my server , Blackrock US for instance, there is constant spam in the cities about LFM kara pugs to farm badges , heroics , BG premades. And they're always looking for more healers and off- tanks for Gruull's .
If you're worried about ganking and world PVP just roll a druid you can hide and get away from almost everyone . you can Tank or be a kickass healer endgame and be in demand for arenas , PVE , and BG premades running flags or healing.
Ok so... quit for a year or so. Going to give it a try with this Resurrection Scroll thing. Just a general question: Is it too late to ever catch back up and get back in the raiding game with top end a year ago gear. I think my priest has full Prophecy and half Transcendence. My hunter has full whatever hunter set from MC is. Both have their epics (or what was the "epic" at that time) and are 60.
I loaned my account to a friend for use while raiding. He didn't sell my gear, but I'm totally broke and all my shit hasn't been repaired at all. Ah well. I guess I get to be that fabled noob level 60 running around asking dumb questions.
for good or bad , all that pre BC Raid gear is going to be replaced very easily sooner or later . you're not going to be raiding anything till you get to 70 and get a flying mount and by then you will have regeared completely .
So not to worry I guess. Or sorry that pre-bc gear is no advantage?

Don't bother rerolling. In the 10 levels you spend getting to 70 you'll be more than well off enough on getting up to speed.

I think I got to 60 in about 5-6 days /played, and that's with a good deal of PvPing to get the WSG bow for each bracket.
I never completed an instance since SM either. I TRIED to do mara, ZF, and ST...but I never did get any quests done there.

Hey I had pretty much the same experience except I also had a hardon to get the HWL epic bow which was a retarded idea because in about 1 day I got that gun out of BF so I applied the same RNG manipulation concept and have the season one gladiator crossbow sitting in the bank so guaranteed like every ranged weapon in kara is going to drop first time .
Now I get to decide between learning it with my JC, donating it to a higher level JC in my guild or trying to sell it. I really like the other JC, but his JC like mine is just an alt.
It kind of depresses me that you guys have missed all those instances, although it is probably as much Bliz's fault as anyone - building a new planet and adding in extra levels was always going to kill all the old world instances.
Although that being said I did get sick of the usual suspects - the endless runs through ST/BRD/Strat/Scholo/DMs/BRM made me want to punch walls sometimes

If you are actively using your jewelcrafter for making money, learning the design will make more money over time than selling it. A fairly long period of time in single digit segments from gemcutting tips and the profit margin over selling uncut gems, but it'll happen.

One thing we've found that helps with the "OMG we need to do trival content" is to just set up some semi-pug runs on non-raiding days. Those with lives can skip them without feeling like an ass, those without can get their raiding fix and you can bring in alts/undergeared/friends and family/people in guilds who don't do gruul/etc.
The only thing that screws us now is the damn attunement runs with SSC and TK. Fuck vials.
Yeah the MC runs were atrocious. BWL always remained fun no matter how well geared we were though, and I liked AQ40 too. We didn't get far enough into Naxx to ever get comfortable with it. ZG/AQ20 were great at first but in the end, I never went on those runs either.
My current guild is great in this respect, clear BT/MH on the first few raiddays, Gruul for the trinket (We got it down to 20 minutes for both bosses now, 2m23s last time on Maulgar, ridicilous), and then do a) nothing b) only SSC or TK, never both in one week. Raiding 3/4 days a week keeps it a lot fresher then 5 or 6. ZA is completely optional, and usually sees 1 alt run and 1 speed run attempt / week (I participate when i feel like it, we're getting there on the speed run, 6 minutes left after boss 3, we need better DPS setups now). Karazhan is only alts by now, calling in a main or two if it's needed.
Two friends of mine, a rogue and a disc/holy priest, invited me to reroll on their server for some 3vs3 arena goodness. I rolled a mage, level 60 currently, but I'm not sure I like the pewpew gameplay. So my question is, what classes go well with Disc/Holy Priest and Rogue? Seems like RPM is the cool thing these days, but mage just doesn't feel good to me. I enjoy healing and supporting much more but I don't think the team would benefit from more healing. Could resto druid work?

I had a Headmaster's Charge drop on my first Scholo run. Some mage ninja'd it, and and our priest managed to be more livid about it than I (the warlock) was. I'm a fairly level headed guy unless I'm having to deal with idiots so I didn't lose like he did. It was probably a mistake, because aside from apologizing the poor bastard ended up deleting his character (judging by the fact that he was automatically removed from our friends list). I don't think it was so he could get a "free" character rename, either.
On the plus side, my Dreadmist Mask and Robe of the Void pattern dropped at the same time as the staff, so the run wasn't a complete loss. Still, losing out on a sweet 300 HP weapon was a painful experience.

A mage in our guild is accused of scamming someone else for 10 primal lifes and 55 gold to pay for a Golden Spellthread he was supposed to make.
The excuses are... not of this earth.
It wasn't him on the character at the time, it was some girl who apparently is the real owner of the account. This girl has apparently also been on raids with us.
Which is kinda funny, because that's the first time this mystical female has ever been mentioned to us, and he's been decidedly male on vent. Which also means he's been lying in the application to our guild - we ask if you're the original owner of your account, since we don't want someone ebaying a level 70 and thinking they know how to play that class.
So either this girl signed up and then gave the account over to this guy, or he's full of shit.
Anyway, I don't see this ending in anything other than a /gkick. If not for scamming, then for making shit up when officers ask for an explanation and lying straight in our faces.
Ahh the ninja stories! I think my favourite was when a friend was trying to get the Magister piece from Strath Undead for 0.5 - and eventually it dropped but one of our raid tanks on her alt priest won a need roll for it, which became one of those tense "will this break the guild?" issues.
Decided to re-roll, after 3 hours of patching. I'm thinking I want to play Alliance, not sure on the class or server. Just inspecting casuals and seeing greens that were better than my hard won but year old gear was kinda heartbreaking but oh well.
Any suggestions on a class or server? I'm leaning towards a Warlock, but I really would be ok with playing anything but a priest. That's what drove me out the first time, so I want something a little less boring.
1k is highway robbery they just don't understand why they are not getting people to go to Gruul/Kara with those prices {you don't even get loot!}
The reason why I don't want to reroll
I enjoy playing my warlock. The time and effort I have invested into her is something I just don't want to drop and walk away from. It's part of the reason why I spend random hours looking for a new realm.
I would go to Ravenholt but I just don't feel like playing another blood elf. If I made another Tauren it might be a warrior or druid. The prospect of running from Mulgore to Slivermoon is just something I would think about.
My mage is on a pvp server other than the random gank fests people go on it's not that bad of a realm just the economy is something to think twice about.
Last year I remember going to farm for red hats and help people to try to key for Ony before TBC hit in LBRS.
All I needed was the jewel off the Orge to complete the quest. After a few runs he finally drops it only to have it rolled by someone they picked up on the last run.
I've been guildless for about a year and 4 months now. Maybe more. I don't know, I quit my guild and stopped playing before anybody had killed Sapphiron, that's all I remember. I was sick of raiding.
I've got 3 characters now at 70 that are about as close to hot shit as they can get without raiding. I was playing my elem shaman earlier doing a heroic UB run with 3 guys in the same guild and I smoked their enhance shaman wearing T4/T5 gear. They were looking for an elem shaman so they invited me, and I joined.
On the one hand fuck raiding, but on the other hand I've basically reached the limit of what's left for me to do not raiding, so I guess back into the shit I go. Might as well see some content before WotLK is released, I suppose.
Fucking WoW.
