Check Mii Out channel now offering commemorative pictures!

Did anyone else get this when they finished up the results of the Luigi without a cap contest on the Check Mii Out channel?
After it was all done and the results were given a message came up thanking me for participating in the contest and that because I did so I could now get a commemorative picture celebrating the occasion. It then presented me with a picture of a big Boo ghost, Luigi near it, and then let me poss both the Mii that was submitted in the contest and the Mii Artisan registered for the channel. After that it posted it to the Wii Message Board and told me I could mail it to friends.
Very useless stuff, but, I have never seen this before. Is this the first it is happening?
