Secondly, that almost sounds like you're implying that gays aren't hygienic. But if Bravo has only taught me two things, its that James Lipton loves dirty words, and fags are very clean people.
The SNES Milon's Secret Castle sequel is apparently coming to the US. I can't wait. I love the original Milon but supposedly DoReMi is a much better overall game - but VERY expensive to get an import copy.

Considering some folks on this board are quite openly gay, I wouldn't use the word "fags".
And Super Turrican isn't as good as the old Amiga versions, and I know it's not just nostalgia as I booted them up not too long back!

Yeah, and I though Magic Pink was one of them.
Besides, I thought "fag" was one of those words that lost its sting years ago, like "Cracker," "Uncle Tom," and "Porch Monkey."

Fuck yeah looks like a pretty good platformer. There better be a castle in that forest though.
Details on the TV Guide Channel are still a bit fuzzy (read: lost in machine translation), but based on what we've pieced together, users can surf through shows on the EPG, share their favorites with friends, see how popular a program is (using demographic data, too) and even receive an e-mail / SMS alert 30 minutes prior to a flagged show's start time. Best of all, however, is the ability to use your Wiimote as a television remote. You heard right -- owners can use their Wii controller (via the sensor bar) to dictate volume, switch channels and flip back and forth between their shows and the TV Guide Channel.
What a bunch of shit. We don't even have Everybody's Nintendo Channel yet, or DS demo downloads.

It doesn't do anything decent that my TV's EPG doesn't already do, so I don't think I'm gonna lose sleep over not getting this channel.

I somehow doubt your TV does all that stuff.... sharing favorites, demographic data, SMS alerts, etc.
So...I've completely stopped following the VC since Super Metroid came out. I love my Wii, but is Nintendo just going to abandon this part of the console? We still haven't seen a large number of the good games on these systems. I knew things weren't all that exciting right now, but one game, and it's Super Turrican? That's pretty awful, and I actually like Turrican.

Since Super Metroid came out we've gotten:
Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers
Harvest Moon
Sonic 3
Phantasy Star II
Yoshi's Story
Sin and Punishment
Pokemon Snap
1080 Snowboarding
Kirby And the Crystal Shards
I impulse bought Kirby 64 yesterday and shit, it's not bad at all. Aside from anything sprite or texture related it looks fucking great, too. I love the fireworks. Best combined ability so far, though the launchable fire sword is cool. Hate the dumb jaws.
Also Super Turrican, which I remembered sorta liking as a kid. It's a little clunky, like Contra meets Metroid meets... Shadow of the Beast? That's kinda unfair maybe. It's harder than I expected. Not bad though. I think I had actually played a different Turrican. Was there a Genesis version?
I'm not even into Smash Bros but I was with everyone totally expecting/hoping for a month of themed VC releases... Smash Bros., Earthbound, maybe more Yoshi and Donkey Kong. Maybe, uhhh... they're waiting for the game to hit?
& didn't Reggie say they were rolling out an assload of Wiis for the Brawl launch? What happened with that I wonder.
The lack of anything Smash-y on the VC this week is really, really weird, since it totally breaks the pattern of what Nintendo did before Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy.
I'm optimistically hoping that maybe they were a little off and this Monday will be a big week, but who knows.

I maintain that this week sucked because Nintendo was busy launching a new channel in Japan.
The main reason that I really don't use the Virtual Console is that (besides my dorm's wireless doesn't work with game systems) I already own most of the consoles that the VC supplies. The only game I've bought on it is Gunstar Heros and even then I don't play it too much.
I love some of the games on the VC but I already own half of them. There are quite a few SNES games on the VC that I would buy in a heart beat if it wasn't for my lack of funds. Sin & Punishment intrigues me though.
Anyway, I also blame the sucky week on the new channel in Japan. Nintendo may be the Super God of Gamingâ„¢ but they're not perfect.
(And I bought a T-Wireless online. Hopefully it gets here before Brawl is released. That way I can try out the remapping on Megaman AC before Brawl sucks me away.)
So, i need VC advice, i havn't yet got any VC games and i need something to play! i enjoy all Genre's, but i only have the wiimote to use as the controller, also im in europe. Recommend me the most enjoyable single player experience on VC! Would appreciate all opinions!
p.s think i've played the hell out of all the N64 titles on the VC so don't worry about them.

Buy a GC controller or a Classic Controller and Super Metroid.

Looks like i'm gonna have to, been browsing the VC list and gonna need one to play harvest moon. (guess it would be easier then plugging in my snes to get the fix)

If you only have the Wiimote, then the Genesis (Mega Drive, I guess, for you snooty Europeans), NES, and TG-16 are your friends.
Here are some Mega Drive suggestions, since that's what I know the most about -
Gunstar Heroes (download this, immediately)
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Dynamite Headdy
Vectorman
Shinobi III
Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Alien Soldier
Ristar
All of those are great single-player games (Gunstar Heroes and the Streets of Rage games are also fun with friends, of course), and all of them will work great with the Wiimote.

I vote the 1st Lolo (action puzzle) and Mario 3.
Maybe Bomberman '93 and if you like shooters, Lords of Thunder perhaps? Also Devil's Crush if you don't mind a one-table multiple screen pinball game. But it's an excellent high-score besting timesink.
Technically you can play Mega Drive games with the Wiimote but it's kind of a bummer.
If you can get a classic controller do it. Super Mario World and Super Metroid, without a doubt.
edit: & if you dabble in the Sega offerings, Wonder Boy in Monster World.
Doesn't Europe have River City Ransom already? man. I want that.
I think it's called Street Gangs over here, and yes we have it.
On a side note i've ignored all the recomendations for now, but thinking of picking up a classic controller tomorow, and downloading super metroid and a sonic game tomorow, any opinions on the best hedgehoggy (sp?) goodness.

Given to you by your male roommate.
Who was actually saying "Crustmaster".
It was supposed to be about cleanliness. So it could still be gay.

PortsCenter • Jump Leads • The Life Toyetic with Ben and Molly
It isn't.
You may want to edit that - I know at least one of those words is against the rules.
