Transferring PS3 saves between machines?

For New Year's I'm going to my friend's house and I want to bring Rock Band. I have all the songs unlocked, but obviously PS3s don't have memory cards so I'm wondering if there's a way for me to bring over my save data to his PS3 so we have all the unlocked songs to play.

I think you can use any old USB memory stick, but I'm not positive.

If not, you can use the unlock all songs code, which historically has not saved the game when you use it:

Yellow, Red, Blue, Yellow, Yellow, Blue, Blue, Yellow, Red, Blue

GameFAQs says you have to do this fast on the drums, but I'd think it would work on any instrument.
