Just got rock band for 360. Everything is up and running except microphone. I assumed it just gets plugged in to USB hub like everything else, but the game isn't picking it up. Since theres no buttons indication on the microphone itself I can't see if its even getting power or not. Any ideas how to fix this? Did I set it up right?
You have to have a controller powered on. The person who is to sing uses the regular Xbox controller to select their playing difficulty, character, etc. Plug the mic in, and turn on one of your regular game pads, and they should be able to use it to sign in to multiplayer.
If you are only using the insturments that come with the Rock Band bundle, you need not actually use the USB hub. The guitar and drums can plug into the front USB ports, and the mic into the one on the back.
Also, anyone know if the problems with peripherals are always right when you open? cause mine appear to be fine but ive heard about alot of people having problems.
Drum issue is usually right out of the box. Go into practice mode on a song with a long drum-less intro like Weezer or Wanted Dead or Alive, and try some really fast rolls on the red pad. If it seems to pick up all your hits, your drums are fine.
The Strat seems to crap out after a few hours to few days. You'll notice it dropping notes bady on long strings of very quick strums, or long periods of alt-strumming. It may possibly start double-strumming or failing to register when you use it to navigate menues. Its usually the down-strum only that dies. The Overdrive activation is very twitchey on apparently all Strats.
