Help for Japanese folded birthday card

Okay, in high school japanese class, my sensei taught everyone in class how to fold paper into greeting cards that looked like little kimonos with sashes you would tie around them.

I can remember how to do it a little but would like more information and cannot recall what it was called and don't find anything in my initial search.

I would also like to know if anyone can provide the name of that technique that comes from japan that you use to gift wrap gifts in a certain way with fabric, like sake bottles or boxes, I dunno what its called but I saw it on a show and the way the woman did it, you would end up with the object neatly wrapped up for you to carry it around.
