How many fucking times has the X-Mansion been destroyed and leveled? Or how many Blackbirds have the teams went through? Or X-Jets, or whatever. I can think of 3 they totalled in just the last year.
That's the early original Mark Waid run on The Flash, IIRC.
That run was fantastic.
I pretty sure that was William Messner-Loebs' run before Waid got the book. Waid introduced the whole Speed Force idea which meant that Wally didn't have to worry about food so much since the Speed Force supplied all the energy he needed.

Both authors had really good runs though.
I think the writer right now (I'm up to issue 9) is Mike Baron

You're right. Mike Baron wrote from 1-14, Messner-Loebs took over at 15 and wrote until 61 where Waid took over. It's still a good run all the way through, with all the authors.

How the hells does Themiscyra's continuity work right now?
Once (if) the last issue of Planetary comes out, will the whole series be collected in an Absolute Edition?
Wait, so it's NOT over? I'm quite behind on my reading and I've got the last few issues saved toward the end of my pile (well, long box(es)) and I was under the impression that it was over. I still have one more issue to look forward to?
I thought the intent was to collect the whole series in Absolute format - I believe the sales warranted it. I really hope so. As much as my wallet hates it, those things are great. I'd love to see Global Frequency get that treatment - there oughtta be something better than those mediocre tpbs for that series.

As Wolverine comments in Astonishing X-Men: "Guys, next time let's build this place outta Lego." (possibly paraphrased)

First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
Holy shit $280+ for Absolute Planetary! I have that. I got it on Ebay for about $60 two years ago. It collects the first 12 issues. I imagine that once Cassady finishes the last issue, there will be another absolute edition for the last half announced. And then they will probably reprint the first volume. When I got Vol 1, I was figuring on just reading Planetary in that format. So, I still haven't read anything past issue 12.
wow, Absolute Authority vol 1 is going for $300. Damn. Good thing I got it a long time ago.
Some day, after I get around to buying all of the Scott Pilgrim books (I borrowed them all from the library), and Gyakushu! vols 1 and 2, I need to get the rest of Ellis's Stormwatch. That's a damn good series right there.
There's actually already an Absolute Planetary Volume 2 that is more widely available than the first one and so cheaper. I'm sure there'll be an Absolute Planetary Volume 3 once the last ish comes out.

Really? I can't find it anywhere. I thought there were only going to be two Absolute Planetary collections, for the first 12 and the preview (vol 1), and the next for the rest of the issues.
So a while back someone posted a link to a site (I think Newsarama) that had some promo art featuring a very Ledgerish Joker. It was all black and white and looked really cool, and I can't seem to find it anymore. Helps?

They are teases for some upcoming events in certain books. Mongul had one, and he'll be showing up in the Green Lantern books from time to time. The Brainiac image is a tease for a major Superman storyline coming up this year.
Reminds me of Justice...
I have a question I hope someone can answer
I'm trying to get the gold cover graphic novels for the Age of Apocalypse storyline from X-men. I know what I'm missing, but after seeing which issues are involved in Age of Apocalypse I couldn't find a gold cover GN for the 2 X-Universe comics. Were they released as a part of a graphic novel? (Leigionquest perhaps? I don't have that one yet, so I can't determine if it's in that or not)
So, can anyone tell me if anything happened to Carapax in this week's Suicide Squad issue? I'm waiting for the trade, but he's one of my favorite rarely-seen villains, so I'm kind of hoping he didn't eat it or anything.

The Logan mini is only 3 issues and it's pre Civil War continuity, BKV wrote it back in 2004, it just hasn't been finished till now because Eduardo Risso was drawing it on the side while still doing 100 Bullets every month.
Origins is terrible and no one cares about it.
But you left off Uncanny X-Men, which he is also in.
But he's hardly the only character who shows up all over the place. Iron Man and Ms. Marvel are currently guilty of this as well.
Is it just me, or is Wolverine in a hell of a lot of comics right now? I mean;
the thing that confuses me is that in x-force, his top priority immediately after messiah complex is tracking down cable, but in his solo series his top priority immediately after messiah complex is tracking down mystique.

The Circle takes place before Countdown #30, as said in the editors note a few issues back.

Was betty this much of a cunt in the 616 universe?

this it?
Lee Bermejo's joker looks a lot like Heath Ledger's
Yeah that looks like the same art. I swear there was more though, I seem to remember Harley being in it too? Whatever it is it looks good.

i adore Lex Luthor: Man Of Steel
Anally.
Barely anything. He just engaged the Suicide Squad in battle, but not much else. We'll probably see the rest next issue.
Oh well, at least it's better than guest appearances in every single comic.

And the Mystique arc is only 3 or 4 issues, I wouldnt be surprised if it took place over a very short period of time
DC's website is saying next month
