Figured I would see what other people's opinions on songs that Rockband should have since the vast majority of people the company is listening to picks the absolute worse songs ever.
My vote right now is going for
In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins ....the drums on that song ? I don't want to come off straight here, but can we get a whole Genesis/Phil Collins pack ?
This should probably have gone in the existing Rock Band thread, but I'm gonna stick with the topic.
The Foo Fighters' Everlong, in addition to being the best track ever pressed to plastic, would be an absolute fucking blast in Rock Band. Every instrument has a solid contribution, and the drummer gets to go apeshit a couple of times.
seriously im worried. these are truly the end of days. duke nukem forever is coming out, and the best nintendo ds game on the horizon is a sonic the hedgehog rpg by bioware.
A while back, I read that Tool was trying to get on Guitar Hero 3. However, I think Rock Band would be a better choice for them. It would be awesome to play something like Third Eye or Lateralus with the Rock Band setup. I only have a Wii this gen and I would buy a 360 plus Rock Band in a heartbeat if they released a Tool pack.
Tool would be good, though I would point more towards Forty-Six & 2 or Sober, Lateralus is one of my favorite songs but a little too long in tooth I'd think.
Blind Guardian or Demons and Wizards would be the most epic and awesome thing to see on Rock Band. And just for a hint of hypocrisy I would say And Then There Was Silence as the song because a band that can't play a 14 minute epic about Troy is a pathetic band indeed.

This is probably the only song in the entire world I would be willing to do vocals on. Oh god it would be awesome . They better not put Tool on Guitar Hero and leave out Rock Band. I've completed my transition to Rock Band and I don't want to go back.

I could also go for some Mastodon.
A Tool Pack would bring much joy to my heart as well. The drums alone on difficulty levels of any kind would melt a normal man's brain. The drums off Aenima would be intense to play. I think the drums would explode. Anything off Undertow would also be choice. It would even be interesting to see an eMOTive pack come out of songs from the album done by A Perfect Circle. I would be interested in Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of The War Drums.
also on any power ranger theme song , Zordan would have to be given lyrics.

you know, the relevent CURRENT music out there winning awards, critical acclaim, headlining festivals, and so on.
I'm really tired of all this "in your face" style rock the GH games and such are focused on. There is ALOT of good music out there made with a guitar (and drums and singing) that's not all devil-horns-in-the-air-aren't-I-such-a-hardcore-rocker-yeahhhhh

I don't give a shit if it isn't a Rock Song, there is no Steam-user that would not play that song given the chance.
Bombora by the Atlantics.
Alternatively,
Fucking Queen. Fat Bottomed Girls. A Kind of Magic. Ogre Battle.
Through The Fire And The Flames by Dragonforce (for the epic vocals)
Ogre Battle by Queen
and of course, the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers theme song
Great songs. Speaking of Queen, I would definitely like to see "Princes of the Universe" added.
also I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow by the Soggy Bottom Boys
I would sing it so many times.
does that song have any drums?
Not that it matters - that song is awesome.
I would rock out to that so hard.
I could also go for some Mastodon.
Link!
LORDI
there's tons of covers of it that would serve if they HAVE to have the drums
but I prefer the version from the movie

shit has some nice riffs
If they release Ten, I swear to god himself I'll buy the game this very second, groceries for the next month and a half be damned.
Stunt and Maroon would probably have the best songs for the Rock Band set up.
