Inspired by the thread, I just got it on Steam. What's with this green shit all over the place? It's like algae, and follows JC around everywhere, covering any floor he walks on, surfaces he approaches. I suspect this isn't a common problem...

I just reinstalled on Vista and was having weird color issues. Setting the game to OpenGL mode fixed everything.
I didn't know you could take those creepy robot things out without getting them to blow up. I always assumed they were robots and, ya know, thereby immune to stunning and shit.
In Deus Ex 2 the Grays play a semi-important role, the way they developed them is kinda interesting. On the other hand, the game is complete shyte.
I've been thinking of playing through Deus Ex without relying on savegames at all, so I can't play realistic as I can be killed in one hit, can one hit by regular weapons kill you on hard difficulty? medium? easy?
I'm not worrying about all one hit kills, just one shot kills by the basic enemies while you aren't even hurt previously.
I've been killed with one shot to the head with the sniper rifle on normal.
One hit sniper rifle kills are ok, just not one hit pistol kills. I can sneak up on snipers, I just don't want to have to sneak up on everyone each time I want to not kill them (tranquilizer darts gives enemies time to shoot you once in the head).
Italax, are you going to do DX: IW after this is over?

Ocean Lab
In the beginning, there is a very large robot on patrol slowly creeping towards your position. There are also a large number of birds in the area. Wait for the robot to get close, toss a scrambler grenade, and watch the subsequent hijinks.
