just started playing again myself - damn you! :P but ran into a small problem when you go to New york to send out the signal. I do what I need to do and send the signal, but then when I get back to the appartment Paul ain't there, also the guards outside are there if I pick up paul's chair, but not if I don't

Haha. You opened Paul's door when you first got there, didn't you!
You gotta go back to Liberty Island just before you leave for that mission. Then go through Paul's bathroom. Avoid his bedroom door at all costs.

d'oh - yeah, I did do that. Also the MiBs are invincible.
*grumbles* And I don't have more than one save
Ouch. That's a big problem. Even if you get the key code to the subway, it won't take you to the right level.
Can you get them to blast open the door? Once they do that, maybe if you let them run around for awhile you can get to the subway and it'll work, but I sorta doubt it.
I still have no idea how I killed her with the GEP gun the first time.
If you have a mouse with a wheel, you might have nudged it. On your quickslots, Geppy is right next to Wiggles.
True, but I don't actually remember firing. I'm surprised I had the ability to aim where I did in that state though, I would have expected myself to try and tag her in the face and miss by a mile.
Man I loved Deus Ex back in the day, though I never got around to finish it.
As I watch all these video's it makes me cry a little on the inside at the length and depth of the game.
Oh good old days of gaming, where have you gone? I long for the days where releasing a full priced game that was only 3-4 hours long was a criminal sin.
I read this forum often, but it's this LP that got me to actually register.
Back in the day, I was part of a Deus Ex Forum. One of the guys had a post where he said he'd found out that there were different advantages and disadvantages to each racial "skin" you could play as.
I was going to describe this, but the guy confided in me a few days ago that it was a hoax he did for a laugh.

Playing through now after several years away from the game leaves me in a weird position. There's so much I remember about the story, but not the levels themselves. I managed to totally miss the labs in the MJ12 facility, and the augs inside it, by sneaking through air shafts. I didn't really notice I was doing it because I forgot about the labs in the first place. It wasn't until the trip back that I looked down from the glass bridge and audibly sighed at what I saw. I could probably have gotten down there but my combat skills just weren't sufficient to compete with multiple commandos at that point. So much easier to just forget about it and hack/lockpick my way through to the UC.
... and wow Walton Simons is kicking my ass. I can still kill him by pre-LAMming a corridor and dragging him through before I let him start talking, but any other attempt at a real fight leaves me dead from a single plasma round.
Yeah, there's a lot there to loot that I missed the first time through. The next dozen times I nabbed it all, though. God, I need to play that game again.
Simons is a tough cookie. The only practical way to kill him is either via explosives or a Dragon-tooth Sword to the head. I believe he has the Ballistic Protection aug maxed, which makes him effectively ammune to all conventional guns.
He did it like once. But yeah, using your keypad is so much cooler; basically why I didn't like the fact they removed that feature from the second game.
Funnily enough, I found out about the keypad thing only a little while ago.
Italax - I don't think it will matter, but the key you pick up in the 'Ton isn't for Paul's room, it's for another room at the end of the hall. Not much in there, I think there's a medkit, but there's definately two zyme bottles.
Probably won't matter, but since you said you were collecting zyme, I thought I'd point it out.
I would suggest you change your Stage6 password since their server got hacked and said hacking-slime managed to retrieve a large amount of Stage6's password and Email database. Oh, and I love the crazy ramblings of a drunk Englishman, especially if said ramblings involves beating up evil dudes in black leather with Wiggles.

Damn it I forgot about the Junkie's hotel room. Which is odd because I normally visit it when I playthrough. Damn it
"Ah, Geppy will take care of this little problem..." *BOOM* "Ah! Oh, god, my head! Bad Geppy! Bad!"
It's not gonna be as entertaining as the drunk video, I'm woefully uninteresting in this one, except for maybe something I tried out at the start which may or may not work.

I'd been meaning to go back and play Deus Ex, but I could never be arsed or had the time.
Thank you good sir, thank you.

the code for the police station is
pretty silly code for a POLICE STATION
That's worse than the MJ12 facility in Versalife.
12
Thought that was a bit silly when I saw it had a two-digit code and tried it for a laugh.
I just went through the second level of labs by going through Versalife again.
Never again.
Ya, I felt like such an idiot when I remembered "Shit, I have the sword now, not some shitty little baton."
Ya I mentioned that in...the first VersaLife video? I think it was that one.
