Dreamcast Suggestions

I just got a free Dreamcast and I need some suggestions for games.

I know the really popular ones like Soul Calibur, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, RE: Code Veronica and I've already picked those up used. I just need suggestion for more "must have" titles to flesh out my collection. RPGs, SHUMPS, and action/adventure/arcade games are probably best. I'm not a huge fan of fighting and sports games. Besides, I already have Soul Calibur and I'll probably pick up Marvel vs. Capcom if I can find it.

    Only 2 controllers...

Isn't there a Berzerk game for the DC? How is that?

It's a good beat em up, but pretty much obsolete.

It's pretty good it has nothing on the PS2 game but i'd recommend it.

It can get annoying at times due to some cramped quarters early on and it is moderately difficult (especially on hard)

But it is a decent action game and it shouldn't cost that much.

    Yup. It's pretty good.

Cult of the Wyrm is alright too, and in the same type of style.

Get Jet Set Radio and Wetrix while you're at it.

I agree with the recommendations of Sword of the Berserk. Also I'd eat a big nutty brown pile of dogshit and smile doing it if it would mean that Berserk for the PS2 would get ported.

Ready 2 Rumble was a bunch of fun to play with a buddy.

Of course I also found Sega Bass Fishing on LSD to be an amazing experience.

-Maken X; first person slasher made by the SMT team. The localization is weak, but the gameplay's fun.
-Last Blade 2: Heart of the Samurai (excellent 2d fighter)
-Rival Schools: Project Justice (best 3d fighter ever, IMO)
    -Space Channel 5
    -Illbleed(weird survival horror game)
-Ecco: Defender of the Future; beautiful game, but very difficult.

Just remembered a few solid shmups:

    -Gunbird 2
    -Bangai-O

Also, Shenmue 1 & 2 are essential. The latter is PAL-exclusive, but it lets you port your data from the original, and you don't have to put up with the nightmarish Xbox dub(subtitled in English instead).

I've only played/watched a friend's Dreamcast, but 3 games that have stuck with me were Jet Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi, and Bangai-O.

Maken X sounds awesome, as does Illbleed.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone...now I'm off to spend some cash...
