I really fear a Clinton v. McCain choice.

I know that McCain would probably win. And I really, really don't want to vote for Hillary.

That would be my nightmare. I despise both people on every level. I don't think I would be voting for a president then.

write in vote for ron paul

Seriously if that's the ballot...I'm going to move somewhere. I don't know where I don't know how. I don't know.

God damn it I fucking hate McCain.

I'm actually pretty ambivalent about Obama.

I think he can give some amazing god damned speeches, which is something that I really fucking want from the next President.

However, his policies are pretty vanilla.

I am much more aligned towards Kucinich's platform. But I could definitely vote for Obama in the main election.

    How do you define success?

    not especially

most people expected it to do much better, and it proved that internet hype does mean real results

    I'm just saying.

Comparing him to snakes on a plane in terms of success implies that he'll get a decent amount of voter turnout, but be a pretty campy president (as expected by those who voted for him, of course).

no that's stupid and not at all what pony was saying

Fred Thompson could have been a contender. But, in order to be elected, you kind of have to want it. I get the sense that Fred could give two shits about this whole affair, and probably wants to do exactly as Pony described. Makes one wonder why he got into this in the first place.

I think it is important that we have a president that is well-spoken and is given to public speaking, and speeches thereof. It's not the only quality necessary, but definitely high on the list.

I think we've have had enough of the rest of the modern world imagining us to be a bunch of slack-jawed cowboys. Who we choose to represent us on the world stage will mean a lot in the coming years.

I wish someone would create a page to submit on Digg.com that simply says "Hey guys guess what! Ron Paul pulled 5th in Iowa and 4th in New Hampshire!

HE'S NOT GOING TO FUCKING WIN, so please stop jacking off to him and spamming Digg with your stories about him!"

    Because, really, it is annoying.

bush being a "good ole boy" is a large part of the US' image problem with the rest of the world

it's not the only one, obviously

the whole invading iraq for no good reason and fucking it up massively is obviously the leader

I can't think of a single speech, policy, or side of the issue that Thompson stands for

he campaign has basically been "hey I'm running and famous, remember this face?" and then a few generic republican values

I think his biggest problem isn't his demeanor but his background. Yeah he was a senator but everyone knows him to be an actor and he needed time to get people to take him seriously.

Ah, I was wondering if this was real or not. So, does that mean if I make a story that is telling Ron Paul supporters to shut the fuck up, it'll get front paged? Because that would be pretty epic. Then again, I'm sure it would have been done by now.

It might, but then you'd get a bunch of people who follow you around and bury anything you say or submit.

Any community that involves rating user content inevitably accrues such things. I remember the downvoters on YTMND before revenge buries were a twinkle in a stupid 13 year old's eye.
