On my work computer my keyboard isn't working. I press the buttons and it doesn't register any stroke. No letters appear on the screen and no sound is made. Its like this with every program. Did I accidentally press a series of buttons or something. None of the IT guys are around today so I can't get any help for them. What can I do to get it working again? I've restarted the computer twice and checked to make sure the keyboard was plugged into the computer. And my mouse is working, just not the keyboard.
Have you tried plugging in another keyboard you know is working? If the new one works fine it's a problem with the old keyboard, if it doesn't it's a hardware or software problem with your PC. Also, try using a different USB port (if that's its interface. If it's an older PS/2 keyboard you could try plugging it into the mouse PS/2 slot, which if I remember right works fine with keyboards)
