    No blood

    No decapitation
    No boobs
    No right of way
    No left turn

Do a quick Youtube search, there's some comparison videos. Personally I think the censored version looks a little daft, which is why I shan't be picking it up.

Isn't it Germany's fault whenever blood goes green or decapitations are removed in a European game?

Also I have now had 2 Unlimited going around my head for the last half hour. I think that's grounds for justifiable murder...

As always the best idea is to blame Germany! After seeing all the in game footage I'm really let down we don't get to play No More Heroes as it was intended.

And just to annoy you further:

    What have I wrought..

Anyway, back on topic, a friend of mine (housemate from Uni) is back in the country after touring the world, and wants to buy the Orange Box for the pc, and was asking about differences between Steam and buying a boxed copy. As far as I'm aware, the only real difference is the price, and it's much cheaper elsewhere (dirt cheap on shopto). That is correct, right? I generally just buy things on Steam now for the convenience or sake of preloading, but I don't think there's any extra complications or issues with buying elsewhere, right?

Well. If you buy it on steam, it is more expensive, and you don't get discs + packaging.

Steam is generally cheaper at launch, but shortly afterwards retail drops prices.

I love steam in principal, but to get my wholesale support they need to stop being scared of undercutting big retailers.

Yeah, that's what I think too. I find it great for impulse-buying older games when I feel like something different that I'd have to go track down in a shop somewhere, or for preloading and getting something the minute it's released (more or less), but the rest of the time it seems way more expensive than anywhere else, and even buying something like the Orange Box in a shop, you still activate it on Steam and have the security of having it tied to your account.

Suda 51 says he considers the Japanese version of No More Heroes (which the UK it getting) and the US version to be equally valid.
So it's not really a question of how it was intended.

We do get guys exploding into money, at least.

In fairness he's not likely to say "Personally I think the USA version which you can't play is my definitive vision". He also stated before being forced to cut the game that it was going to be "more gory than manhunt 2".

I imagine somewhere along the line a Ninja Gaiden: Black will be pulled and the UK and Japan will get a full release.

I kind of feel it's in his nature to say that though.

It would be unlikely for him to say "Oh yeah, Japan and Europe are getting the gimped version. Sucks to be you."

Or even "Yeah, I gave up creative control to the censors"

The VAST majority of 360 titles are import friendly, just pick up a copy from play-asia.com, I know I certainly will. I can't stand being sold a restricted product even if it doesn't detract much from the experience.

Speaking of which, anyone got a good price for Ninja Gaiden: Black on the xbox?

£12 is the best price I can find online.

I suggest trying a Gamestation in store though. It's in their £7.99 or 4 for £20 range.

Hey guys - The Club is only £19.99 in GAME when bought with anything else.

As this game is brand new and £40 on 360, £45 on PS3, this is frankly a bargin.

I picked it up today with some MS points to get the "when bought with" bit, but the guy in front of me picked it up with a 49p clearance game and still got the deal.

I'm loathed to recommend it because the company is gonna end up with 1000 copies of the Club it can't sell but if you then trade that in at Gamestation, you'll make 10 pound profit.

Isn't Gamestation owned by Game anyways these days? You'd think they'd be aware of the cross company promotions.

Yes but due to a bunch of crazy laws to do with monopolies or some bollocks they cant rebrand them anymore like they did with EB I dont think. Which means I think they still have some semblance of independence.

You can tell we're owned by them though. Our deals are absolutely fucking atrocious.

149.99 for a DS + Any game + A selected (Read £20 or less game) + Starter Kit.

Hint, the only thing you're actually saving money on there is the 9.99 starter kit which trust me, isn't actually worth more than 2.99.

    GIVEAWAY ALERT!

I just pre-ordered the reprint of the Sam and Max comic collection Surfin' the Highway and as a bonus I have been given a free gift code for Episode 1 of Season 2, 'Ice Station Santa'.

Of course being a loyal season 2 subscriber I already have it and as such am able to gift it away to whom ever I fancy.

So bargain hunters, what better bargain is there than for free?

Just finish the sentence, 'I deserve Jam's extra copy of Sam and Max because...' and after an arbitrary amount of time I shall pick the winner on a whim depending on my mood.
