Anywhere between $15-$30 for a used one, I've seen new ones under $50.
Peanuts!
I know that GC's are going dirt cheap these days definitely, but wouldn't you get hit with import tax?
EDIT: Why am I being so stupid? If you really want it, you can easily pick up a UK Gamecube for dirt cheap (like £20-£30), and then get a copy of Freeloader for that instead. Probably cheaper than importing a US gamecube, unless you know someone selling locally.
Otherwise you'll just have to find a UK copy of the game I guess. I'm sure there must be somewhere selling them, but if not, then that US copy might be your best chance.
Oh yeah, Wii + GC Freeloader = Screwed. I had assumed you still had a GC. I keep mine around because it's easier to play GC games on it than the Wii, and the Freeloader works on it.
But as other people have mentioned, GAME sell used Gamecubes for £20 or so. A bit excessive just to play one game though, but all you have to do is compare the cost of a Gamecube, ToS (USA) and Freeloader to the cost of ToS (UK) and see which is less. If the former is cheaper, that'll be quite special.
not that I know of, if you can find them instore they're the same price aswell. Also check out GAME stores they're clearing out Gamecube games and stuff like Paper Mario and Zelda 4 swords are at £19.99 now.
So where would be the best place to get Operation Darkness when it comes out then, chaps? It's released in the US on June 24th, and is region free, so I'm eager to get my grubby mits on it.
edit: Scratch that. Turns out they will be region locking it after all.
Does anybody have any tips on any British online stores (with international shipping) where I can find Shadow of the Colossus (PAL version) on the cheap? The cheapest I've found so far is game.co.uk but there it's out of stock. Thanks for any tips.

Try here, it's £9.89 and they deliver to the USA.
Probably the sexy case and the art cards, I don't believe the US version had them...
Edit: Does anyone know any good places for MS points cards at the mo? I have had a look at past deals but they all seem to have expired, the ones I have checked anyway.

What is the best deal you guys have seen so far for Mass Effect PC pre-orders? Bonuses are nice, but a low price is probably the best thing at the end of the day.
Hey UKers! I was wandering if anyone knows how GAME will treat my RRoD? It hasn't been a year since I bought the 360 and I bought 2 years cover as well.
Are they likely to let me take it in and get a replacement there and then?
Well seeing as you bought the cover (didn't see that the first time) then you might as well get a completely new one, just make sure that you swap out the hard drives. what GAME can't do, though, is transfer your rights to your digital content, so you won't be able to run any of it when you're not connected to Live with the profile that bought it. MS can apparently switch that over for you now.

GAME don't take the hard-drive back, just the console unit itself. Also you can apparently get the rights back by opening up Account Management and then Download History (they explained this on Major Nelson's podcast the other week). That gives you a big list of all the things you've downloaded, where you can re-download them and it should re-allocate the rights to the console that you're doing that on.

Yep. But that only works if MS have transferred the rights and you've replaced it through them very recently. That list has always been there, it's just never worked the way it does now.

Ok, I see. So i may have problems if I don't send it to MS? Or is it alright now?
Would it affect things like GH Download content?
Thanks for the info by the way, this place is by far the best place on the whole net to ask this kinda stuff!
Yes, it would. You might even still get those problems even if you do send it to MS.
I'll detail it more in a post in a couple of hours as I'm at work right now, but there are issues with repairs beyond just 'things break, you know, whatever'.

More hassle after it's fixed? Man... I was hoping this day would never come.
Thanks Willeth, it would be great to know the whole story before I act.
I'm even thinking about trading in all my 360 stuff and getting a PS3, sorta starting again. This breakdown crap isn't worth it. I don't even play the 360 that often!
My friend's 360 RRoD'd a while back and he phoned me up in tears. He'd been playing about 18 hours a day for like two months (get a fuckin job rob, seriously.) and STRANGELY it had decided it had had enough.
Seriously, if anyone's xbox was gonna die it was his.
So he rings me up and he's all like "dude it's fuckin RRoD'd! CAN'T PLAY HALO! WTF DO I DO MAN I'M FREAKING OUT!" and I felt really bad for him (though I was pissing myself laughing) so to give him some faint glimmer of hope for something that was clearly broken I said to him "ok, heres what you do, turn it off, let it cool down for like half an hour then power it back up. I heard this sometimes works (I hadn't, but i wanted to stop him crying).
It DID work. His xbox went straight back into its 18 hour snipefests with nary a hiccup!
Obviously this won't work for all xboxes, but don't assume the worst straight away.

Nah it's just that my PS2 is PAL because I got it during my semester abroad in college. SotC is the only game I still needed for it.
