Given that I've realised how easy it is to make videos of Source engine based demo files, I've decided to document Team Fortress 2's best gametype.

There were only 6 of us on the lesser used server tonight when this went down, and we were all good sports, so after having an all-sniper rifle-only no-scopes match (Which is also hella fun, I might add), we decided to play only as crouching heavies with our fists. This is the result, lovingly recorded for timelessness:
Science is a shit map. The corridors go no-fucking-where half of the time, the center cap is wide open from all sides, and one of the caps has a balcony which is a sniper's paradise because of it's location 50 feet in the air. Also, the thing looks like someone took the tileset from Hydro and felt obligated to use every piece, much like a child putting together a fortress/spaceship/jungle cave out of discarded pieces of Lego sets.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
MoBo: ASUS M2N-E SLI
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256MB (x2 in SLI mode)
OS: Windows XP SP2 (with latest updates/drivers)
Any of that similar to yours?
We both have the same OS. I have a core 2 duo 2ghz laptop, dell inspiron 9400/e7105, with a built in 7900gtx go. My drivers aren't the latest (168+) as nvdia's dropped support for the go 7 series, and I have to rely solely on dell. Still I've been trying the xtreme and laptopvideo2go modded forcewares, and I value stability over anything, and the dell ones are usually reliable, even if they arent the best performing.
I compared our two graphics devices and can't find anything similar, except that both are nVidia, and we both have Windows XP. It's annoying as hell. I've reinstalled DirectX, reinstalled drivers, and monitored temperature levels at idle and intensive conditions. I've verified files through Steam and never had any problems. I gave up on the issue months ago, resigning myself to play games in DX81 mode. It sucks. <_<

science is like hydro but with less blocked doors that i gotta try to find my way through since the fucking thing changes after every cap.
My god I think Enders has replaced marty as the Epic Heavy of Legend. Tonight I witnessed players running from him in terror and no less than three (<3, see what I did thar) insanely-loyal medics chained after him. When the cry of terror is "UBERED ENDERS!" rather than "Ubered [class]" you know you're in for a world of bullet-violation.
Is there a new TF2 update or something? It's sluggishly forcing me to download stuff.
Dustbowl is on a 3 round, 90 minute timer. Because it's fun.

I liked Science, and I'm working on a solution to bring back custom maps. You guys ate up all my available bandwidth in five days. I am purchasing a static content server so I can serve you the maps faster and more economically. If it looks like it's a good solution, I'll get with the other guys so they can host it in the same place. You'll all owe me a nickel each time you download a map from me. I don't like going with the "zipped map pack" option because I'm all about ease of use.

Reading up on some WH40k and such, I was thinking that a Space Marine Dreadnought model as a replacement for the heavy would make all my dicks come like a million times.

Whoever doesn't have the admin spot on their server reserved needs to do so. If I have to wait around for 25 minutes again just to be instantly kicked for taking your spot I will stick my dick in my router and skullfuck you through the internet.

Ah, so that's why you just stood there and looked at me with your bonesaw out while I screamed for a medic.
So I was chasing a spy around today in 2Fort, I took out the bat unsure whether this crazy rush would work, so I ran up to the spy when I encountered a sentry gun lvl 1 with a Engineers just hammering away. It was being upgraded exactly the moment the spy got away, with bat in hand, I just went at the sentry. I just kept hitting it with the bat, hoping for a miracle moment.

The sentry beeped, upgrade complete, it's target me.
My crazy attack lasted seconds, that moment, so great.
Marty sorry for saying that you were a good for nothing asswaffle, but I felt justified by the circumstances. You were killing us on red. Blue was getting completley rolled. You, the top player, and spy that has killed me 4/5/6+ times gets autobalanced to blue. Then you switch to spectator immediatly. It was annoying at the time, but if you were just getting the phone, then, my bad.
