Your Game(s) of 07 not from 07

Pretty simple idea. What was your favorite game or games you played in 2007 that were not released in 07? What inspired you to pick it up et cetera?

For me it was Defense of the Ancients. I've put ludicrous amounts of time into Warcraft III and some of the Tower defense maps(during the initial burnout) over the years but always moved on to other games after to occasional Wc3 relapse. But this summer after hearing about it enough every now and then I figured I'd try it out(I'm not going to lie, that damn song got me a little intrigued). So yeah, I downloaded the latest version and had a ton of fun learning the mechanics and they crazy amount of different hero's and strategies.

And just recently probably the #1 game on my pile of shame for having never played, Super Metroid. In my defense, I was poor/young(11) when it came out, my parents never bought me games or systems and the place I rented from never had it. So anyway, I have had a Wii since release, but no wireless network and no real desire to get an adapter till recently. So when I did finally get a wireless network set up, I went online and bought Super Metroid, Punch Out and Sin and Punishment (I'm not sure I get this game yet). And Metroid has been pretty amazing. I'm really digging the environments and music and some old school challenge. I'm not far, but I'm certainly glad I finally have it.

For me, probably Sin and Punishment. Although I'm not sure that's fair, since while it's an N64 game, it was not released in the USA until '07.

Failing that, I have no idea. I usually get games within a year of their release. So maybe Meteos. got that this year I think.

Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.

I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.

Mine were Dead Rising and Final Fantasy XII. Bought both at release but didn't play them until '07.

Resistance: Fall of Man. Probably played 1000 hours online. And Oblivion if you want to count that, although the PS3 port was released in 07.

Suikoden 2 and 3. I've always been a big fan of Suikoden, but I never completed either. I got 108 stars in Suikoden 2 this year, after having started it for the fourth or fifth time, and went on to 3, which I still haven't completed, much to my dismay :(

Also, Neverwinter Nights 2, after I bought the expansion. I still haven't completed the main campaign, though, since I encountered a bug that set me back a couple of hours. Man, I suck at completing games.
