Merging Web Mail Accounts?

9/11 changed everything. My standard hadji/hajiquest email addresses no longer go over so well with the general populus. The cartoon character has been forgotten, and now people think it's some racial muslim thing.

So, I need a new email address to use for school/work. I want to register another gmail account, but I'd like to completely merge it to my original hadjiquest account as some sort of dummy account. Can I do that on gmail?

If I can't do it on gmail, can I do it on MSN or Yahoo? I'd rather have a sub-account connected to my original than manage another extra account.

I'm not so sure about merging, but you could set it so that mail sent to one address will be forwarded to another email address (Settings > Forwarding and POP since you're using Gmail).

If I'm reading your post correctly, then the solution is incredibly easy. You can register a new gmail address and forward your old email to the new address. That's extremely painless. People can still email your old email address, and you can set GMail to have the reply-to be whatever address you want (Settings->Accounts). That way people don't have to change their email address book, and you can still use your Hajiquest email for any friends or whoever that aren't ignorant knuckleheads confusing it for a terrorist reference. People can email you at either gmail address and it'll be in the same inbox.

Incidentally, I set up my gmail account a year ago for a somewhat similar reason.

You can also set up gmail to log into your other email account, bring the mail over and delete the old message from the server. I run this as a general mail dump for several POP accounts and also use the "reply-to address" option like grungebox posted.
