The best football game about, Pro Evo 08 or Fifa 08?
e: I haven't played a Soccer game in forever, though. I think the last one I played was one of the Fifas last gen. I actually enjoy soccer games. But only as much as American law allows.
I'm British, so I use the term "Football" among my British peers. I do know that in an America-centric forum, that doesn't work so well.
If you're making a comparison that British football is sissy compared to American football. I'd suggest that aside from the name, it would be better to compare Rugby and American Football.
I didn't know it was an American forum i do apologize but it ain't all that "sissy" as you would call it. Football over here is nothing like yours i must admit, but try comparing Rugby to your American Football, would be interesting to see who comes out on top!

You can take the boy out of London, but not the London out of the boy!
Just kidding around. As an American, it is my duty to give people shit for liking Soccer.
It's in the constitution.
I like soccer. Or football. Or whatever you call it.
I do want to ask again, though, I thought everyone agreed that Winning Eleven was the best of them. I was actually thinking about buying a Soccer (Football) game at some point. I usually do each gen.
e: Also, if it's any consolation, I've long thought that American Football should change it's name, since your Football actually involves using your feet. Also, soccer is a stupid word.

Don't start a football versus American football argument, please.
Pro Evo is by far better, but the whole incident about appalling frame rates on console versions is really annoying, and the whole thing about 2007 on the 360 being shit. I'm mainly a PC guy, but a developer doing that really annoys me.
I haven't played the latest fifa or winning eleven (pro evo, don't think the latest one is out in U.S yet.) but the way I understand it, fifa has made huge strides to catch up, might be worth a revisiting.

So I guess my vote would go to Fifa, then.
I thought everyone loved Winning Eleven, though.

Yer, well, we don't like your kind around here. Beat it!
You prefer the version where they hide behind armor and prance around with a ball under their arms like Paris Hilton's chihuahua?
