Probably - that's a bit like the one I did of Terra from FF6 - a background from the game, with Terra imposed on top, hovering in the foreground, cos that's what Ben wanted. Anyway, send me a link to an image, and I'll see what I think.
And Rehab, get a wiggle on!

Apologies on the wait Mrs Lewie, I got off work early today though so I was able to devote some time to finding something.
After looking around I have settled on this (minus the small print of course):
There is a smaller image of it here. That game had a lot of really cool concept art and that was one of the better ones I could find. I think it would make for a pretty good painting too.
Again, sorry about my delay in responding. By the way, really like a lot of the Okami paintings. I played that game a few months ago and I'm amazed at how close the resemblance is to what you have painted and what the game looks like in motion. Great work!
So, I got a bit poorly at the weekend - nasty, pigging cystitus again, so didn't start anything. However, in the morning, I'm jetting off to Cuba for 2 weeks, and am taking Rehab's picture with me. I'm not sure about internet acess at the hotel, so you may not hear/see anything for 2 weeks. I will be merrily painting, though!

Well, I'm in Cuba, its fabulous and amazing and very very hot, I've done about half the painting, but can't post it cos the pc I', on is so ooold and clunky it makes mine at home look cutting edge! Anyway, will post when I get home next Thursday

At last, an update! Blame Cuba, Eurogamer and a cold for the delay in posting! I did most of this in the early morning in Cuba, it was too hot to paint after about 9:00 am. I also had a slight problem in that I left everything on my room balcony, it rained overnight, and the picture I'm copying from got rather wet!
I'll do some more in the next couple of days - its Bonfire Night here, so I'm busy making gingerbread, toffee apples and cinder toffee. I love Bonfire Night!

So, here's a bit more done - the background of the skull - I need to faff around with the shading for a while yet, then I'll finish off the foreground.

Hey, LewiePs Mum, I just wanted to post because I haven't contributed to Oxfam yet. I keep trying to put money aside for it, but things keep going awry (I just had to put out $500 to fix my car ) I just wanted to say I'm still going to contribute and I'll let you know when I do. I love what you do and want to fulfill my obligation.
Nova_C: don't stress, do what you can when you can!
1ddqd: Probably not, I'm sorry, I've still not caught up from when I had to stop in June, but I will get there, I promise!

No worries! I have a speeding ticket to pay so I wanted to make sure I have time to save up lol
I'm also a bit concerned - I've started 2 pictures for the Child's Play auction in December, and I've discovered I can very easily draw Scribblenaught zombies. Please note, these are the only sort of zombies I'll ever draw - they scare me lots and lots, even Shaun of the Dead scared me!
I'm going to work on these for the next few days before I start the next person on the list, as the Child's Play auction is on 8th December at the fund-raising dinner, so I need to crack on with them. It will be Regicid3 next if he's finished Basic training, or if not, Aethelred, then Druhim.

I ran out of white acrylic, so couldn't do any more of the Scribblenaughts picture til I picked Lewie's sister up from work, so decided to start the second picture.

When Scribblenauts was first shown at E3, someone posted on the NeoGAF forums about their experience in a zombie level where they got so frustrated with it that they typed 'time machine'. They were then subsequently very impressed with the fact that the game allowed them to travel back in time, ride a T-Rex back to the present, and destroy all the zombies to beat the level. It was post #217 in the thread, and became the
emblem all over the web for how versatile the game was.
One of the 5th Cell artists for the game knocked up your reference image from it, and if you type 'post two seventeen' into Scribblenauts, a little framed image of that scene is created in-game.

here's the finished World of Goo - I've spent about a day on it in total, but am going to make dinner now, so will do more on the Scribblenaughts picture tomorrow.
I'm up at Lewie's house, and although I can't post my G&T Secret Santee's picture cos s/he might guess its for her/him, I can post the third one I've done for the Child's Play auction next month.
Its Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, although I keep calling it Ace Ventura by accident. I've played a bit of this on the DS, but got bored very quickly. Lewie says lots of people love it, though, so hopefully it will be a good one for Child's Play:

Æthelred, you're up! Have you decided between the 2 pictures you'd like yet? If so, let me know and I'll start, cos I don't have anything else to paint!

Just heard from Kristin at Child's Play -Scribblenauts made $700 and World of Goo made $450 at Tuesday's auction! The Phoenix Wright picture wasn't included cos it wasn't in the catalogue - it was an extra picture I did - so they'll keep it for next year

That's great news, Rehab - I was starting to fret a bit, cos the Child's Play paintings nearly didn't make it on time, and I was worried yours had disappeared! I'm glad you like it.
This is what I did for my Secret Santee in G&T. Stalking him was very easy!

Thought: Could you combine a landscape I find from Flickr with a character from a game? A hybrid realistic game remake sort of thing, similar to these: http://lifehacker.com/5152884//gallery/?selectedImage=1
