This should be fun while I wait for that huge pixel pack to finish.

If I tried to activate that with FCOM on, would Oblivion just explode?

If it did, it would explode from the pure awesome. I've mucked around in the scripts enough to know that it doesn't modify anything that would screw up other mods, but it will ruin any chances of playing a normal game if you let it progress far enough. In mine, all of Cyrodill has been exterminated except for a few out of the way dungeons and quest NPCs.

Yeah, screw the original quest when you're world is overflowing with concentrated cool though. I'll have to give it a shot, whats the worst that could happen!?

Oh my God. This mod sounds divine.

Oblivion does not like running on Vista for me at all.

I died once, hit load and CTD'd. And when im playing the mouse acts like its running under oblivion, and i'll find the game minimizing because i've clicked something on my desktop.

I don't know about the CTD when loading, but I fixed the minimizing on my computer by disabling AVG and XFIRE. ymmv, but a search on google indicated that other people had similar problems with various anti-viruses and instant messengers.

I thought he was a vampire that hunted vampires? Either which way he is awesome. Now I need a talking hand and a fancy hat and I will be set!

Also I have abandoned the Imperial City, which is now referred to as Zone-1.

So I have over two gigs of Oblivion mods now.

I'm ready to enter the city.

start doing texture mods and it'll bump up dramatically.
I'm running on 7gigs right now...and about 200+ mods...but most of them are just new armor and weapons.

He fights all creatures of the night, just mainly vampires. Bloodlust had Buko zombie vampires at the beginning. Awesome scene that one.

I'd love to get myself a nice trenchcoat for my mage but I wouldn't mind a swanky hat, like the one Alucard wears as well.

I know this is mod discussion but can someone answer a quick question? I'm running on a notebook with the following specs.

    AMD Turion X2 TL-58 1.9GHz
    2GB DDR2 RAM @ 667MHz
    120GB HD @ 5400rpm
    ATI Mobile Radeon HD2600 512

Thnk I'd be able to run Oblivion decently enough with all the mods and texture packs and everything?

You may be able to run Oblivion decently enough, but not probably not with texture packs. Those textures the players make are Huge and thus really impact performance. If you even CAN get oblivion to run on your laptop, it will not be pretty. Fuck outside frame rates, but insides it still may be somewhat stiff.

I wouldn't run a large texture mod on a slow RPM hard drive like that. Loading textures from the drive accounts for most of the stuttering (downward spikes from average framerate) you get in-game. The game should be playable with a decent framerate, though.

Guys, I think I am going to try this FCOM shit, should I try and preserve my save file first by backing it up?

And I have KNOTN, and SI, and all the mini content packages, but not the newest castle one... Should I be able to Run FCOM alright?

And with FCOM, should I continue to play my uber Level 30 Paladin-like warrior or start fresh?

Okay guys, I have installed Python, Python's 2.8 whatever extension, and now Wyre Bash.

Fuck is this a pain in the dick to install!

Okay, so yeah man, now what?

By which I mean, what the fuck do I do now? I think I should begin installing FCOM, but how? I got to this page, after installing Wyre Bash and um, now what?

    http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=3428

EDIT: WHAT THE FUCK MAN! Okay, got Wyre Bash, and then It seems OOO 1.3 RC5 is next, but I need OOO 1.3 and then install the RC5 on top of that, but the 1.3 is only a patch and I need an older version of OOO to patch up to 1.3 to make a good host for RC5 and then I get to step on towards the next mod to download and patch...

This is like a game in it's own. First you go and kill one guy, then you kill his superior, then you kill the lord of that domain, and then there are 5 other lords to take down till you reach the very ending where they all have to come together! D:

Are there any decent Summoning mods for Oblivion? I was thinking of making a Summoner type of character but the standard way of summoning a creature and keeping it around is pretty lacking in Oblivion.

Conjuration is already the most powerful school of magic in the game. It doesn't need any help. It sucks that you can't have an army at your command like in Morrowind, but the game would be ridiculously easy if you could.

I was mainly thinking about being able to summon a creature permanently and add upgrades to it as you level along with it.

That'd be cool, but I've never played with Conjuration in the game as it stands. How powerful are the weapons and armor you can summon, exactly, compared to stuff you can pick up in the game as standard?

It's as powerful as daedric and it gives a slight boost to whatever skill it uses. Half of the armour is light and half is heavy though, so it's not as great as it sounds.

So if you summon a blade weapon, how much of a bonus to the blade skill do you get? Let's assume 100 conjuring is at work here.

Well I don't remember if it's the same in Oblivion, but I know in Morrowind the bonus is always 10.

I never thought it was much good. I used it mostly as a secondary to killing something difficult. Summon a skeleton so that the creature attacking me attacks it. Then i use destruction spells and swords to kill the creature that's busy.

The early game summons aren't that great, but once you get summon clanfear, you basically win every battle from that point on no matter what happens.

Hey, any of you guys get the Oblivion Warcry 1.08b patch? The link to it is broken, so now FCOM is incomplete...

Do any of you guys know of anywhere it can be installed or added?

Also, what exactly is Wyre Bash, anybody want to explain it better? AFAIK, it's just another third party tool that helps manage mods bye organizing them, but I am not quite sure what else. Or really how to do that better.

I do know that Oblivion would crash upon start up, and I opened up Wyre and turned off the red highlighted mods and then Oblivion worked again, ^^

EDIT: Nvm, the fucking WarCry unpatched version IS already patched up to 1.08....

Man, this really is a pain in the dick!

Okay, I'm backing up my 7.6 gig Oblivion Data File because WarCry's installation requires me to copy and paste and "Replace all" which would probably replace the fucking 7.6 gigs folder with a new 400Megs...

Man, what a pain in the dick to install!

I suppose I will try the the replace all method first, and if that goes up in smoke, I will delete it and then just copy and paste the contents INTO the Data folder.

Dunno if it will work. And I still really don't have much of an idea of what to do with Wyre and how to use it.
