The same thing is happening to me, too. I load a page, and as soon as it finishes, it automatically loads it again. It's unbelievably difficult to navigate this way.
Ditto here. It actually keeps trying to reload as I'm typing this too. For normal browsing though, it just reloads once.
In firefox, the pages jump around a bit oddly if you reply to a thread and select to view your reply. It is like it moves to a spot and then moves to it again. It is kinda wierd.

I don't think that is anything new, though.
What I think you are describing, Bri, is Firefox targetting the selected post, but then a bunch of images loading above, which pushes the page down, then firefox re-acquiring the selected post.

No. I post a reply, and select to view my new reply. The page loads and jumps down to my reply.
I am a fast reader though, so I scan my reply and scroll the mouse wheel or something to take me elsewhere on the page.
Then the browser jumps back to my reply again.

I really wish they'd change that in Firefox. If I'm scrolled down past a picture, load the page up and not down, forcing me to scroll again.
If I knew how, I'd write a plugin that does that.

Haven't we been discussing this in "Problems with the new site?"

It happens to me whenever i hit the refresh button. It reloads once and the reloads a second time and starts me off at the top of the page the second time instead of where I left off like usual. Im running IE.
This has only happened to me once, but I got a double load in Firefox(1.07). The weird thing was the second time it asked me to open up index.php in my editor.

I've been getting this for at least a couple of weeks now.
It is weird because it has completely stopped doing it for me, now. Have you tried clearing out the cookies? I honestly don't know what i could have done to fix this. Got lucky, I'd wager.
Ok, so my battle this evening included trying to get it to stop at home. Like I said, I had to install norton at work and ceased receiving the problem. Unfortunately, when I got home I was once again receiving the problem.
First, I tried clearing the cache and cookies with Opera. However, I was having virtually no luck on doing this, so I wound up deleting the profile directory under the Application Data/Opera folder for my profile. This then successfully deleted all of the cookies and things seemed to be fine on reloading some pages. At this point, I was simply getting the problem posting a new message.
However, I then realized that I forgot to make Opera identify as itself. So, I changed that and immediately started getting the problem again.
This time, I have repeated the process, but changed Opera to identify as itself before I began going to any pages. So far, it is working as desired.
I did see that Alpha is working to fix something else, so it could have all just been timing. Still, I thought I would post in case the procedure works for anyone else.
By my math, today is the five-week anniversary of this bug, and it's till going on.
Does it still happen every time for you? It seems to be a lot more sporadic now. It happened on the reply page, but it did not happen on any of the pages getting here.

9 times out of 10, it will happen at least once. Every now and again, I've had a page reload up to five times on me. Those are truly rage-inducing.

Yeah, it's still happening all over the place for me. It's really frustrating when it does it on the login page.

It is doing it hardcore on my home machine now. I've gotten to where I just press escape as soon as I see the page. Some images may not load, but that really only matters in threads where people post images.
And this seriously does not happen to my machine at work.

Have we? I'm only encountering the problem with the forums, not the main page, so I figured it had nothing to do with the redesign.
Mostly happens on forum indexes, finishes loading and then reloads once and stops.

Internet Explorer only.

So annoying.
The only thing that has happened new on my computer is that I had to install Norton anti-virus junk. I may have completely cleared all of my caches.
Also, I make sure that Opera identifies as itself.
No dice.
I wonder if begging Alphamonkey will do anything.

It better not start back tomorrow.
