In my X-perl raid frames, it shows a lot of buffs that I don't cast. I think that the UnitBuff function is broken on WoW's end. Does anyone know of a workaround or code that I could add that will fix it? It really messes things up while trying to heal since it makes the bars a lot smaller.
The UnitBuff function works fine. It will show buffs you cast on people via scrolls, but that's the only idiosyncrasy. Must be something wrong with X-Perl.
It is a problem with X-Perl and it's relatively recent. The toggle box for "Show Castable Only" doesn't seem to work properly with the newer versions.
Now for my own conundrum, I'm looking for a bar mod that doesn't recycle the Blizzard defaults. I have 3 full bars of bound keys that I would like to have all switch when I change druid forms. I also have several bars of clickable things as well as a hidden bar of hotkeys. But with only 10 bars total possible with Bongos my attempt at paging the 3 bars with forms doesn't work.
I've already got FlexBar and am working on getting that configured but until I get the /slash commands all memorized it is a huge pain in the ass.
I would like some sort of mod or addon that allows me to simply place non-usable objects into my action bars so that I can monitor how much I have acquired. Things like leather, cloth, faction items (I know there is a fubar for this). But I would really like to just pop them into my empty action button spots.
Anyone think they could hammer this out? I dont know anything about the addon script language at this point.
So I updated most of my addons today with the ace updater and installed a couple of new ones, and now my grid is completely fucked up. I'm also getting a lot of lib-babble errors and stuff, which is probably related. Did any of the ace libraries get completely fucked up in the past day or so?
I feel like a lot of my core Ace stuff has been fucked up for the past week. GridManaBars kept acting retarded in BT last week, and I've had some sort of memory issue, I dunno. I hope they get it sorted soon.

You can do this with a simple macro
For instance, for Light Leather, make a macro with the question mark icon, then in the macro text put:
#show Light Leather
then drag that macro onto your action bar.
Works for me!

Are you using Recount? about a week ago I installed it and kept getting nonstop Babble errors, but then within a couple hours they released a fix and I've been good since. Perhaps it's broken again?

That doesnt show a count of the item, which is the entire point.

I ran the updater again a couple hours later before my raid and the bugs seemed fixed for the most part.
Got a question that hopefully someone can answer. I'm trying out chronometer as a replacement for DotDotDot, since it can track more things, but it's giving me trouble. Every time I clip a spellcast using quartz, chronometer fails to put up a bar. The spell goes off just fine, and DotDotDot tracks it just fine, but chronometer misses it.
Anything I can do to fix this?

I run into the same problem with Chronometer, too. It also doesn't keep track of DoTs on multiple mobs either, especially if they're the same type/name.

Can NECB track DoTs on multiple same named mobs? It was my understanding that there is currently no way to do this by parsing the combat log if you are attacking two identical named mobs. (I think in 2.4 this will be possible with the combat log improvements)
Anyhow, I use DoTimer, it tracks any dots or cooldowns i could care to track, and it will work on multiple mobs (just not same named ones).
Isn't NECB breaking with the patch and Natur's stopping work on it? Has someone stepped up to take over or will it die?
Funkydude and two other people have expressed interest in maintaining it. Funkydude will probably port it to the Ace framework (I think he is one of the BigWigs developers).

It's theoretically possible to track multiple same-name mobs now, but it would be almost inconceivably complex, and it still wouldn't be accurate if both of the mobs had identical health, mana, targets, and debuffs.
In 2.4, we will have a way to differentiate between same-name mobs built right into the combat log API. It should be quite useful to the combat log parser authors.
Supposed I use 2 bars on a priest, with the Bartender 3 addon. Supposed I want to have a setup for griding, and a setup for healing. I can figure out how to change one bar with Shift-up/down, but what if I want 2 bars to change, not just one?
Would a bind to change to bar X (think you can do this via the ingame menus) work or would it just change your first bar twice instead of changing both bars?
Hey what do people use for swapping equipment into sets these days? Itemrack seems to be broken in the current version of the game, at least I couldn't find a version that worked.
I loved that mod on my Druid.
nevermind a little googling came up with Outfitter, looks like it works so far.

I know you can do this in bongos, in either of two ways. Either by setting up the 'paging' to switch both bars to two OTHER bars available to you, or using the provided modifiers (Shift and Alt or Ctrl, cant remember which) in the same way. The only difference is that paging remains changed when you let go of the key. I know that Bongos uses actionIDs, and I dont know if bartender is one of the ones that doesnt (I think trinity or infinibars doesnt?). But perhaps there is something similar you could work with in Bartender.
My own question: Is there an add to move where my bags come up? When I open them? I dont want inventory management, just something akin to a tooltip mover.

For what it's worth, the version of Itemrack I downloaded (from curse or ui.worldofwar.net or whatever) is working fine for me thus far. It's current up to 2.3.whateverwe'reon.
So two questions:
1) Cursed seems to suck ass at having the current updated version of the mod, is there a better source?
2) I'm looking for a UI that will center my health/rage and have something for the global cooldown around my character. I think I had one before that had two nice curbed bars that formed a circle around my character, but I can't remember what it was. Any idea for something like this?

I don't know how to do that with Bartender, but it's really easy to do with the default UI. Maybe you can adapt this to work with Bartender:
do
MultiBarBottomLeft:SetAttribute("actionpage", nil);
local _G = _G;
for index = 1, 12 do
_G["MultiBarBottomLeftButton" .. index]:SetID(index + 60);
end
end
That forces the MultiBarBottomLeft buttons to page with the main action bar.
Anyone happen to have Ani's Helm'n'Cloak Toggle addon somewhere? It's an old addon that curse doesn't have anymore. It just adds a toggle to the character pane to turn your helm/cloak graphics off. I don't have it anymore, and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I get my mods from files.wowace.com, or from wowinterface.com in the case of non-ace stuff.
Most HUD mods will give you the bars around your character. I used to use ArchHUD, and there was a nurfed one as well.

Is this something we just do once? (Assuming we don't wipe out WTF/WDB folders etc)

not by default, but you can set up an indicator to show if they have hots running or not

I do have it miss things sometimes, especially removing debuff timers when the mob dies. Is it every time or just some times?

I'm quite happy with the timers in ForteWarlock, though it has a lot of stuff I don't bother using (which you can disable).

Right now she just manually moves spells around, looking for a way so she doesn't have to do that.
