WoW Account got compromised, concern about Credit information

I basically emailed Blizzard through account and billing that my account has been compromised since my password changed without my consent. I am not concerned about my characters being naked since I have nothing to worry to be denied a restoration.

My main concern is my credit card information is it possible for it to be compromised? Not sure how its displayed in the website or if theres a way to show the full account. I just want someone to let me know how its displayed so I can either report my credit card or not.

Thank You
Horus

No it does not. I have changed my CC/Subscription info numerous times and never has my number shown up.

Aye, unless they broke into WoW's server/database itself, they couldn't get to that info... so I wouldn't worry about that.

But do change your password and such before the person who got into the account does so.

And of course keep an eye on your credit car transactions for the next few weeks.

The only thing they could possibly purchase using his credit card on account is more WoW time... on his account.

I think you're safe enough to relax. You've already emailed Blizzard regarding the matter, and they'll take care of it from here.

That happened to me too recently. I hadn't played in about a year and I got an e-mail from Blizzard saying my timecard was about to be up. Then one of my friends called me and asked if I was playing WoW again since he saw two of my characters running around. I never purchased gold or power leveling and I didn't go to any weird sites. Kind of concerned as to how all of this happened. So... I removed my CC info and changed the password on the account to a bunch of random letters and numbers. *shrug*

This happened to me and they didn't get any information except selling all my gear and ruining my character.
