I put my computers together myself, so I really like the craftsmanship.

Also, I have never had a computer under warranty ever. What would you even put under warranty?

And I'm pretty sure when I built my machine it out performed (not just had bigger numbers) then an equivalently priced mac.

There's nothing wrong with macs per say. I just feel that they are way overpriced.

But I mean, if money's not an issue, and you don't really game on your computer, then there is nothing wrong with a mac.

Actually, you couldn't have found a Windows machine to do what my MacBook can as well as my MacBook can and with as good of a warranty as my MacBook has for less than I paid for my MacBook. Now, surely you could buy a Windows machine with bigger numbers written on the sticker for less, but bigger numbers don't make a better machine. There's also, once again, the little matter of craftsmanship.

OK I think I'm officially overserved as I could make no sense of that (and I'm thinking of buying a mac laptop).

Well if you are making movies you just pay for the mac and final cut. If you want a desktop for other reasons you build a PC. If you want a laptop then it gets interesting.

Eh, to be honest XP has never really given me any problems, ever. Earlier editions of windows have though, for sure. I am far too much of a PC gamer to not use a windows OS though.
XP never gave me problems either.

I bought an iMac for one reason: space saving. At the time I was moving from a tiny dorm room to an even smaller bedroom at a house for 30 people. I didn't need a tower, monitor and the ensuing cable nightmare. I knew that I could Boot Camp into Windows of some flavor. I decided to give OS X a chance after 1) never using it before and 2) ripping on it for years. You know the rest.

I think VC's doing that thing where he disagrees with someone but instead of making himself clear as to what exactly he disagrees with them about and why, he drops the discussion entirely and then in another discussion he makes a shitty attempt at mocking the other person's position.

Or maybe he's actually being serious. It's hard to be certain.

My favorite mac story ever is when I was over at my friends house and he was showing me his mac for the first time. It was one of the nice new (at the time) G4s with a cinema display. He was helping me edit some school project video on it. Right as he's explaining how to me how stable Macs are compared to PCs, he taps the volume up button on his keyboard and his entire machine kernel panics and crashes.

It was funny to see the wind so thoroughly taken out of his sails, good laughs all around on that one.

    Anyway, night chat.

Lived. It was over the summer and it was so awesome. There was only one house pariah, so it was 29 awesome people. Met some great people there that I've become close friends with. I think I'd go insane if I lived there during real semesters, though. Too much going on.

    Also I love my suitemates

They pretty much moved my room around for me and we cracked gay jokes. This is probably old but I just learned this one (Spoilered for lewdness)
"So I was fuckin' this guy and I was balls deep in him and just pounding away when I decide to give him a reach around to be nice. I felt his dick and it was rock hard and I was like fuck this dude I'm not having sex with a gay dude."

Also apparently if you say 'good game' after slapping someone on the ass it makes it not sexual. So I theorized you could do the same for a blow job. Good game!
